Haha..................we'll never see eye to eye on this, and that's fine. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion.

I wish Hendricks all of the best, and I hope he gets his title shot. Unfortunately, I don't see him getting past Condit. I think Hendricks is in for a rude awakening.

Ya no hard feelings brah, you're honestly the first MMA fan I've encountered with so much animosity towards Hendricks. Then again, several of my boys including my boxing coach are hardcore Diaz brother fans and I've always though of them as Stockton white trash LOL. Like I mentioned before, I am a huge Condit fan but objectively speaking it is difficult seeing a guy coming off a loss AND a one year suspension get the title shot before a guy who's legitimately worked his way to the number one contender in a meteoric fashion with 2 brutal KOs.

I understand why Dana is giving the fight to Diaz (purely a money decision), but I wonder too if he may be worried about GSP getting caught by a huge right hand and a quick KO? That would certainly squash any talks about a superfight between Silva and GSP (again, that fight is more about money than the fighters' benefit).

He's definitely a tool, but I like Nick more than his brother Nate. Watching Nate get suplexed by Rory MacDonald 3x was one of the happiest moments in my life :D

Almost as good as watching Bisping get KO'd by Hendo.

Well, Hendricks is going after my hometown boy in GSP...... Also, I just don't like his strong sense of entitlement. If he beats Condit tomorrow, and only spoke out then about deserving a shot, I would totally back him up. And him blaming GSP for what is the UFC's decision in making the GSP/Diaz fight is ridiculous.

Armen, you are right. All questions will be answered tomorrow night, and I cannot wait either. Always look forward to seeing GSP in action. Glad to not hear of any issues with his recent surgery popping up in training camp.

    Been a while since we've done a "pick em'";

    UFC 158: St-Pierre vs. Diaz
    Date: March 16, 2013
    Location: Montreal, Quebec, Canada

    MAIN CARD (Pay-per-view, 10 p.m. ET)

Georges St-Pierre vs. Nick Diaz - for welterweight title No surprise in my pick here
Carlos Condit vs. Johny Hendricks Hendricks is in for a rude awakening from his toughest challenger yet.
Jake Ellenberger vs. Nate Marquardt If Jake is close to 100%, he should take it. Will be close though.
Chris Camozzi vs. Nick Ring Always enjoy watching Ring fight.
Colin Fletcher vs. Mike Ricci Another hometown boy who looked amazing on TUF.

PRELIMINARY CARD (FX, 8 p.m. ET)

Patrick Cote vs. Bobby Voelker Another hometown boy. Hopefully weight cut won't affect him.
    Antonio Carvalho vs. Darren Elkins
    Jordan Mein vs. Dan Miller
Daron Cruickshank vs. John Makdessi A current hometown boy who has been very impressive.

PRELIMINARY CARD (Facebook, 6:35 p.m. ET)

Quinn Mulhern vs. Rick Story This isn't televised - really? Story is an animal.
    T.J. Dillashaw vs. Issei Tamura
    Reuben Duran vs. George Roop

How about the recently announced Dos Santos/Hunt fight, where the winner will get the next title shot? Very interesting matchup between 2 amazing strikers - I have no clue who will come out on top in this one. I have to say I was incredibly impressed with JDS' chin in his loss to Cain - had no idea he had a chin like that. And Hunt's KO - this guy may very well surprise people. If you didn't follow Pride, you probably don't know about Hunt, but I've watched Pride for years. This guy is the real deal.

Agreed. Diaz is such a tool skipping his public workout obligation because he's tired and being so inane as to accuse gsp of ped use. Stockton white trash both brothers. Hendricks is a class act compared to those fools.

Nothing beats hendo getting in some bonus strikes on the Count after he was ko'd.

When he accused GSP of taking roids I just about lost it laughing. GSP is a class act all around, and I think MMA fans would be devastated to find out he was cheating.

I've got the Hendo fight saved somewhere on my computer, whenever I'm feeling down I just watch that KO on repeat for couple minutes :D

    I'm gonna go with this:

GSP over Diaz. Hopefully GSP has a fire lit beneath his butt and goes for the finish. People that stand in front of Diaz eventually get worn down and frustrated, and that's how Diaz wins.

Hendricks over Condit. This fight could literally end any way. TKO, KO, Decision, Submission.. who knows? I think its going to come down to who's more hungry, and I believe that's Hendricks right now.

Ellenberger over Marquardt. Ellenberger is a beast when he's on, great hands and great takedowns. Is this the first time Marquardts fought at 170?

+1 on Ring and Story, those two guys put on entertaining fights every single time. I hope they both win.

Hunt vs JDS... Sucks, because I really like both guys. I want JDS to win, and I think he will. Hunt showed awesome power despite his age against Struve, but Struve also has a tendency to really bomb in big fights. He looked terrible and unprepared for someone with Hunt's power and striking. I dont think JDS would overlook that power, and his stand up and chin are obviously well known.

    GSP !!!!!
Condit hopefully will win. TOUGH CALL.
Ellenberger. I'm just not a Nate fan AT ALL! He thinks he is better than he really is.
Ring is exciting and should take it
...Actually Dan, We have the same picks. I'm kinda surprised Story is not televised too.

1st time in the UFC at 170, yes. He won the SF WW title against Saffiedine, which I believe was Marquardt's 1st fight at 170. Also, Cote fighting at 170 for the 1st time should be interesting.

Does that mean all my picks will lose ?!?!? :)

Agreed on all counts. I will feel bad for Condit because he will have to work his way back up to contender status should he suffer a defeat to Hendricks. Note that Dana guaranteed Hendricks a title shot with the win, not the same case for Condit.

Marquardt is overrated IMO, Ellenberger lost to a red-hot Kampmann. Expect Ellenberger to prevail.

As much as I love Hunt and his stand up game from back in the day, I think JDS is too well-rounded. I was very impressed by JDS' chin in his title defense. I expect Cain to dismantle Bigfoot. I'm eager to see Cormier get in the mix as well.

So brotha kizdan, you ready to give Hendricks his due? Gsp vs Diaz was like varsity vs jv. Best fight clearly Hendricks vs condit. My man condit went the distance but big rigs' takedowns were the difference. Sorry to see condit go to the back of the line but Hendricks and Ellenberger are chomping at the bit. What a win for Ellenberger.

And damn, Diaz at the post-fight? What a whiney primadonna..... dude lost- and really lost at that, and blames it on everything but himself, and then says he can beat GSP.... dang.
Hendrix v. GSP will be a good fight for sure!

Absolutely. He beat Condit, now he deserves his shot. He will get dominated though! GSP handled Kos' wrestling quite convincingly, and I have no doubt he can do the same to Hendricks.

Holy crap, GSP's strking looked so good yesterday. That stiff jab, so fast in his delivery........Diaz didn't even think about waving his hands about to try and distract GSP - he knew GSP would be right in there with that jab. Excellent top control, as usual, but Diaz never stopped working on the ground. Great fight - wish GSP would have found a way to finish him.

Ellenberger - wow. He looked amazing.

Hendricks deserved the win and the next shot at the title. BUT... I have to say, Boy is Condit an all around fighter. I just love his style! GSP dominated Diaz in every position. He outboxed Diaz, Took him down at will (almost) and dominated on the ground!!! MOVE ON GSP, don't waste your time with Nick the D*** anymore! Jake was Awesome. Nate the (not so Great) is just so over rated. other than that, the rest of the fights didnt interest me too much. Was it me or the prelims were a bit boring. The Cote fight wasn't that bad i guess.

+1. Main event totally boring. Ellenberger ko was awesome. Condit and big rig was best fight I've seen so far in 2013. Condit was pressing in the 3rd, had fight gone 5 rounds and with Hendricks gassing who knows if the outcome would be different? Condit was classy in defeat with a granite chin. Just needs to improve his takedown defense and wrestling but even on his back, Hendricks didn't inflict a ton of damage and condit was eventually able to work himself up majority of times. Love how versatile and adaptable Hendricks fights. He deserves this title shot.

Imagine if gsp and/or Anderson loses? Dana will be bawling his eyes out.

I didn't think it was boring, but it lacked anything great. Diaz was wholly dominated the entirety of the fight, but GSP didn't put him away. GSP ran a clinic on the ground but didn't ever put Diaz in any real trouble. I enjoyed the fight, but wanted to see a finish.

Condit/Hedricks, on the other hand, was a great fight. I give Hendricks a real shot at beating GSP. Condit will fight for the belt. Just not as soon as he had hoped.
