I tend to agree, but we'll see. He's not facing top opponents yet. Assuming he wins the season, we'll really see what he's made of in short order. Dana seemed very high on him.

Finals are coming up. It will most likely be Samman vs. Hall. Samman is an excellent fighter, and has finished all of his opponents in the 1st round, but Hall is just brutal. His KOs, and 2 come to mind, have basically sent his opponents to the hospital. Like what was said on the show, when Hall finishes someone, it is so brutal and the opponent is so badly hurt, that everyone feels awkward clapping. I'm telling you, you need to see his KOs - I have never seen a fighter like this on TUF. His back kick to the face KO was one of the nicest I have ever seen. He will go far in the UFC......

I didn't expect much from this past weekend's card, but it ended up being quite good. A lot of back and forth fights - loved it.

How do you guys think Brandao stacks up in his division? Should his name be coming up in title fight discussions, or is he still more than a win away from deserving that?

So how do you guys think Nike feels about a 9 toe Jon Jones edition. That was a nasty injury! I'm not a doctor but for a second I thought to myself they might as well cut that toe off!

It was pretty close to being cut off! Just think, if Chael lasted 30 more seconds, He would have been champ. They would not have let Jones continue!!! NO WAY!!!!! Crazy Thought huh?

I thought it was stopped a little too early, Sonne was defending himself. I won't go as far as saying Sonnen should have made it out of that round, and therefore should be the champ, but it definitely could have happened with a different ref.

What did you guys think of the card overall?

It didn't appear at all like Sonnen was in takedown mode, which is what he needed to be in if he was going to have any chance at all against Jones. He should have been fighting like he did in his 1st fight against Silva. Instead, Sonnen looked horribly undersized and overmatched. The fight was a waste of time.

Loved Big Country's KO of Kongo.....very nice indeed. It is now being said that Roy will get the winner of Hunt/JDS....

Worse call I have ever seen made by a ref was in the Ovince St. Preux/Gian Villante fight. That ref should be fired.

Seemed like a lot of that - first Villante, then Medeiros' thumb, then Jones' big toe.

Little ho-hum for me. Not at all surprised by Jones' dominance, he's the P4P best right now IMHO.

Vitor Belfort! Wow! What a KO last night. Perhaps the most impressive ever from him........?

Jacare - came in and got down to business - very impressive win!

Would love to see Belfort fight Jacare, and then the winner of that fight the winner of Silva/Weidman.

Some Good Fights: Jacare's Opponent was a BIG dude! He is so fun to watch! Great fight, him vs Belfort. But Belfort is on TRT. Which is why he wont fight out of Brazil! If he fought in Vegas, They would detect it Immediately! That kick was AMAZING! Poor Rockhold, I'm a fan of his, But The UFC is a Different level from any other Org!!!!!

Spinning heel kick was ridiculous. Saw a couple of rockholds fights from strikeforce he looked solid but one can never count out vitor. He looks roided out though. Anderson would still crush him trt or not.

Vitor is dangerous, but Rockhold was asking for it. Game plan was all wrong.

Vitor is roided out, you can see it. He also had a "medical exemption" for the use of testosterone, but Rockhold isn't exactly a small dude (definitely NOT roided out), so I don't think Vitor gets that much of an advantage from that.

I'm with you - not sold on Vitor, he stands no chance against Anderson. I wouldn't even bother to watch that again, will be same story.

It's known he's using it - he has the Sonnen "medical exemption"...total BS, but I honestly don't believe the advantage he gets helps him that much against this level of competition.

Rockhold isn't Anderson. He was looking to stand and bang with Vitor, which is a mistake. You know that Rockhold beat Jacare, but didn't fight to Jacare's strength (jiu-jitsu)...knowing Vitor is a striker, why try to beat him at that game?

Yes, Rockhold is more a striker, but then he should have backed off and let Vitor tire out.

uuuuummmmm TRT is legal in the UFC. Belfort has looked fantastic last few fights. He seems to have found that passion that he lost early in his career. I"ve been following mma since UFC 1 and I remember him in his early days; he truly was a Phenom. Good to see him with his head on straight, fighting to his potential. Jacare is crazy good, his bjj is truly world class (as in amongst the very best in the entire world, not just good for a mma fighter) with his athleticism and the fact he seems to be an extremely quick learn, he will always be on the short list for title contention. Not a big fan of how Rockhold tried to discredit Belfort's victory to a fluke ko, it shows lack of maturity and moral fiber trying to discredit someone else's hard work and glory that way.

^^^are you saying TRT is legal or doubting that it is. I DON'T think it's legal, i just think Vitor is using that exempt "rule" and Brazil is turning cheek, compared to Vegas, who won't put up with it.???????????????????????????????????????

i'm saying TRT is legal in the UFC. As long as you have a prescription for it. That's the ongoing debate is that fighters are saying that it shouldn't be legal because it is a common side effect of taking PED's. when injecting large amounts of testosterone into your body, your nuts stop producing it naturally. looking forward to this Saturdays card though, should be a doozy.

Im ALWAYS wrong, (look at my track record...) but I CAN'T see Bigfoot beating Cain. It's too soon for the outcome to be different from the first. That was actually an EASY fight for Cain. But, Heavyweights have Heavy Hands, so you never know...

yeah, Cain is so much more athletically gifted and so fast for a HW. To see him tossing brock around like that who is a freak of nature was surprising to say the least. I'm actually most excited about the Hunt/JDS fight, it's going to be a barn burner me thinks. The noons/cerrone fights should be entertaining as heck too. i'm a huge hunt fan, incredibly entertaining fighter and just comes across as such a cool, laid back, down to earth guy. that can put you in a coma with his fists.

re: vitor, he's been juicing and/or using trt for a while I think. I remember when he first came to the ufc and the first thing that came to mind was; yup he's juicing. dude was 18 fighting at 220 and was SHREDDED. people think he's jacked now should've seen him 15 years ago.

I think Cain will destroy Bigfoot.

I, too, am eager to see Hunt/JDS. Also, am anxious to see Glover Texeira again - the guy is a beast! Pyle/Story should be good as well.

yup. you see the texeira/Maldonado fight?! holyfreakingcrap. the heart that Maldonado displayed in that fight made me an instant fan. what do you think of the WW division? so much talent there, I really don't see gsp holding onto that belt for too much longer. Ellenberger is a freaking BEAST. i'm actually legitimately excited about the card this weekend. I get pretty much all of the events just bc i'm a huge mma fan but not since the pride days do I get as psyched as frequently. normally have a few friends over and order up a few pizzas, good times.
