Someone may want to archive these pictures for future generations. http://boston.craigslist.org/gbs/cto/2024756080.html Text from the posting: **1985 FERRARI 308 GTS QUATRO*** - $28000 (BOSTON) 1985 FERRARI 308 GTS QUATROPORTE. RACING WHEELS &TIRES, CUSTOM UPHOLSTERED SEATS, LOW MIEAGE 50,627. VEHICLE STORED IN HEATED GARAGE YEAR ROUND. ULTIMATE SPORTS CAR AT DISCOUNT PRICE. MO 617-296-4576 $28,000 I'm not really sure where to begin. I didn't know they made an all wheel drive 4 door 308. It's probably a bargain at twice the price, if it's a factory original.
Gee... great pictures. Nothing like a motivated seller. Yikes. That WING! You're right... where to begin. I'd rather just not begin Jedi
HA! My friend owns a dealership here in MA and she lets me use her dealer ID on a large industry auto auction site. This car jsut went for $10,500 at auction. The wing is horrible!!
What's not to get? A fast car like that needs a bad to the bone wing to hold the power to the ground. It's the ultimate sports car at a discount price.
Somebody should call the number in the craigslist ad and offer him $40K for it right now because it is the car like you always wanted and you don't want it to get away. Doug
That wing is very helpful to keep the rear end planted as you approach 200mph on the Mulsanne straight.... And those swamp mudders on the rear are necessary to take full advantage of the quattro all wheel drive. Very nice car. He's probably president of the local ferrari club there in Boston.
Really? $10,500?? Geez, it's worth more in parts than that, even with that horrid wing and the absurd wheels. The wing can be gone, the rear deck repaired and repainted for not much money. If the engine is still original, someone could have a nice little play thing, with wing and silly wheels removed, for not much money. If it was "lumped" with a Chevy big block or something like that, then furgedabowdit. p.s. I didn't see the Craigs list pics, as the ad was gone by the time I saw this thread. LOL
By the way, is that an original Ferrari color?? I've seen old Chevelles and mid-60's Corvettes that color.
This car was on Cars.com for a long time. If I'm not mistaken, the posting said it needed a rebuild for the engine - Erik
As an ex-member of FCA near Boston.... you might be right! Actually it is too sporty, those Boston guys like polo clubs and slow drives through the countryside and other foo-foo endeavors. Thank god the New York region does track and real stuff that Ferrari intended.
