    Hi i am helping a friend that has a 308 GTSi with its MOT test. the screen washer pump didnt work and i have fixed that but the main problem is the hand brake. The hand brake wouldnt even show in the scale when tested. I could rebuild the old ones if i could get a kit but was hoping for somewhere that could offer an exchange service to keep the time down. I realise that this will be expensive but can any one offer any suggestions? thanks guys

    You can get all the bits including seals, pistons etc from Superformance, www.superformance.co.uk, at reasonable prices. Its not hard to do if you follow Birdman's procedure http://www.birdmanferrari.com/service/caliperrebuild/index.html. If you have stuck pistons in the callipers, you can blow them out, either with compressed air or, if that doesn't work, screw a grease nipple into the bleed nipple hole and force grease in with a grease gun.

    Superformance rebuilt my rear calipers a couple of years ago.
    Great job, quick turnaround and not expensive.

    Be aware that the handbrake on the 308 is feeble.
    Rebuilt calipers will scrape through the MOT but expect to adjust them prior to each and every future MOT.

    Thanks guys for all the info. i am gonna take them off soon and check them out. Superperformance sounds good but i will see what they look like when i get them off. I will report back, thanks again.
