No problem. It's a perfect candidate for a repaint to a proper color. :)

The car is original, it would hurt me to repaint it :).

£255K i am reliably informed, but who is going to argue about £5K when spending that much.

Sure will be interesting to see if it sells. That will possibly be a new UK record and scare the crap out of most dino owners.

At the current exchange rate as of February 7, 2013 (not that you could get the listed rate - your actual rate will be different) that is $399,610.50 in US DOLLARS according to one source, and $400,885.50 according to another source, for a right hand drive GT!

The car has a genuinely outstanding provenance that is extremely difficult to find. From Hexagon Classics' website:

"Our car was supplied on the 20th November 1972 via Hughes of Beaconsfield to Mr A Levy who
commissioned the car to be built in Bianco Polo Park with a Black interior and the factory option of
Electrically Operated Windows. Mr Levy was the custodian of this 246GT for some 40 years!

Accompanying the car is a comprehensive chassis file including:

Manufacturers invoices to Maranello Concessionaires Ltd
    Original handbooks and documents
    MOT’s dating back to 1973
Service / Maintenance invoices dating back to 1974
The mileage of 40,379m is corroborated by the accompanying documentation

A surely unique opportunity to acquire what may possibly be the most original, unmolested, low
mileage one owner (until 01.03.2012) 246 Dino GT that has survived to date."

I like the white a lot. I wouldn't think of painting it. I would paint it if I wanted to. I'm not such a purist. But this certainly should go to someone who will value it's condition and provenance. That does have value IMO and others.

I would have an extra set of clear lenses for the front though.

I like Bianco very much too and was the colour of the very first Dino I ever saw. A GTS in 1973 when I was 10. I was absolutely mesmerised and besotted by its beauty. We lived in front of a Country Club and the owner pulled up in it to go to a wedding. I admired it in amazement the whole day. My father had a 330GT S1 4HL at the time and I dragged him out to see it. From then on I bought Exchange & Mart, Autocar, Motor and Motor Sport magazines to scour the classifieds to find a suitable used one so I could persuade my father to buy it.

Hexagon used to sell exotic cars like Dinos, Daytonas, Miuras and many more truly fantastic cars back then, and before that too. I always looked out for their adverts. It's really great to see that they are still doing so.

They had the car advertised not too long ago and if I recall were looking for £135k. but dont quote me yet. I will look at my emails to see exactly when and what. Going to be interesting to see how much it's gone up with the craze that's surrounding the Dinos at the moment.

Yes its a great car, closer scrutiny shows that it has had some work done on it. I cannot believe a 40 year old car has remained "unmolested" but £255K is serious money for a dino and a standard one at that. Frightening what the rarer chairs and flares models may be worth.

I don't know of any 40 year old Ferrari that's not had some work done on it, no matter how well maintained and cosseted. If it hadn't had any work done, it would certainly need some.
