    I'm interested to understand if F40's delivered to the UK differed in specification to the rest of Europe:

    1) Did they come with MPH speedos?
    2) Did they have different headlight beams for driving on the left?
    3) Any other differences.

    I have seen F40s for sale here in the UK that originally came from elsewhere in Europe and have had 1+2 above done as retro-fit modifications on import into the UK, which as I understand it does (in theory) need to be done to comply with UK laws, but in practise are not always done. But I'm trying to work out how "factory UK spec" cars were delivered. Is there just "Euro spec" and "US spec" or is it more complex than this?

    As far as I know there was just Euro spec and USA spec. BUT, the Euro spec cars could vary a little country to country.

    Parts book (at Eurospares site) shows three different Speedos : UK only / US only / others

    And four different fuel gauges inlcuding one UK only

    But headlights were common to all except USA & France (!)

    I think France had yellow bulbs in the fog lamps?
