I was disappointed too with some of the photos/illustrations in the GTO64 book. The research, text and writing style are first rate though, which is not surprising considering the author. You pays yer money and you take yer chances. I plan to skip the Porter ultimate GTO book. I have so much material and so many books on that iconic car that it doesn't seem worth $566 (today's exchange rate), especially with some of the less than glowing reviews.

I too will wait for Mr. Nye's long delayed Ferrari biography and the Mangusta book discussed elsewhere.

I purchased the GTO 64 book and was not disappointed to have a 1964 250 GTO reference book in my collection. I also bought the Porter Press Ultimate GTO book and was not a enamoured with it. Who knows, it might end up on Ebay one day in the future. I think the GTO subject has been well and truly covered over the years, not much left to tell other then the occasional update as to where the cars end up if sold on.
