    1) I wonder what the replacement schedule for THOSE belts are?

    2) no license required for the -heavier- version because it has floats? I think the FAA would disagree

I want a Ultralight Helicopter soooo Bad! I have looked at many over the years.. The problem is that statistically no matter how safe the owners say they are etc. etc. There are a lot of fatalities in these puppies.. I almost purchased one last spring and my pilot buddies from Hicks airfield refused to even come look at it with me (most of them are Vietnam era pilots) They INSISTED I not be tempted... My wife got all worked up so I gave up..

I also researched a Ballistic chute .. If I could affix a chute to the copter I would buy one tomorrow..

Looks like a great way for your relatives to collect your life insurance. :) Not sure what good a ballistic chute does in a helo - since helos fly low, I would question the effectiveness of a chute.

For still less than $100k you can get a Rotorway Exec.

Yep that's the problem, but I can just imagine flying out of my back yard and skimming around the countryside in one of these... Wow that would be fun..
