I've made it - after a few hiccups with taxis and shi ttle (or is that shuttle? ) buses.

The place looks pretty, umm, boring so far - but lets wait till it gets dark. ;)

Here are a couple of quick pics, one of the plane on the tarmac in Alice, the main street and the Plaza Hotel. :)

Looking forward to your arrival tomorrow - and man are those cars going to make an impact among all these Landcruisers and Commodores.

Yeah, check out a few bars and see what you can find. I think Cameron is relying on you to find the place where the German tourists hang out ... :D

The Bae 146 is ok..... as long as you can keep HRH Prince Charles away from the flightdeck!

I guess I'll see you guys in 2-3hrs from now......and you won't read this.

Done! I got to bed at 3AM after a night at the Meranka - plenty of young German, French and British ladies. :) They also had some sort of reptile freak with huge snakes on stage......only in the Outback. :D

yep, it wasn't too bad though (and only 3hrs which I passed with a couple of car mags.) ;)

Bae146s are great little planes. For a while (and maybe still are) the only four engined jet that doesn't need a flight engineer on board.

Flown in the jump seat of one a few times with Ansett.
