    There is alittle seafood and oyster bar just down the road from me so I thought what the heck I'll get something to go. This particular place I have been going to since the late '80s but it has been under new ownership for between 5-10yrs. I have spent alot of money there over the years and with him aswell and he is blind to some of the things I hear and see from other patrons.

    So two weeks ago this past Sunday I wanted some fried catfish so I stopped in and the new owner, who was born with more money than brains, says he needs to talk to me, ok. He proceeds to tell me he has had complaints about me saying inappropriate things, WTF!!
    I tell him he should know by now that this is untrue and I want to confront the person that made these allegations against me, no. Then I thought to myself that he is not worth making a false apology too so I collected me stuff and left.

    Today I just wanted to place an order to go (I know I should not have nor will I ever grace their premises) so I walked in and before I could say anything the &^^^% bartender told me "I will have to ask if we can serve you", WTF!

    So I'm trashing them in restaurant reviews, payback is a............

    Clearly the restaurant owner must have you mistaken for some one else.

    You can tell him he not only lost you as a customer but also lost one that might visit from Virginia in the future! That'll learn him. :)

    Just a thought. Could it be someone is jealous of you? If you drive a Ferrari there, there may be some people that would make things up just to be mean. A guy who's girlfriend couldn't stop talking about your car and made him feel inferior. So he makes something up so you can't go there anymore.

    I thought about that and it could very well be true. The owner said he had had 4 employee's complain and I only know three of them and I was never inappropriate. The only thing I can think of is about 3 weeks ago myself and four friends who also go there were sitting outside along with one employee who was not working. The employee became very drunk and said ok its time to slap your butt Gregg so I let her and we all laughed and continued having a good time. Then it was her turn and she had no problem and we all laughed some more.

    She did not look thrilled when I told her I did not want to go to Taco Cabana with the group as I had other plans already. So about a week later I stopped in and was talking to a waitress who would always flirt and talk with me. I remember I asked her "Do I come off as a player" and she said sometimes, I'm not a player. That girl was the one who gave me the stink eye when I walked in the day the owner confronted me.

    I should have asked the owner what was the time frame of these supposedly inappropriate comments? When was the first complaint made? He is just protecting his delicate flowers because he is always hitting on them, he is a man whore.

    I will never go back there.

    Not worth the time. I've only been banned from one place, but that was warranted. I wouldn't want to eat somewhere I wasn't welcome. I'm sure that you'll find a better place.

    TBH something must have happened that offended an employee for them to go to the trouble of trying to ban you. Food service working deal with difficult people all the time, they will get them in and get them out repeatedly. It only in truly extreme cases that they will refuse to serve someone.

    I did it for 4 years in college and during that time I saw it happen only once. Dealt with a lot of a-holes during that time too. Banning people is very bad for business and would only be in extreme cases. Those people will tell everyone, like negative word of mouth.

    It is not jealousy, guaranteed. It is something you did (or played along with someone else's inappropriate behavior). You may never discover what it really was, just acquire a taste for fish somewhere else.

    How can you say that with certainty? I have close to 10yrs in the business and I know how they are. Aswell I have close to 20yrs of "customer service" so I know what is appropriate behavior.

    Sorry but you are wrong.

    Nor do I care to discover/hear the false and lame excuses and allegations that were made against me.

    Thanks for your input though.

    You must be right. Obviously someone else's problem with jealousy.

    Maybe the owner was protecting his potential harem of waitresses from a young successful guy whose charm and looks would prove irresistible.

    Or maybe the drunken off-duty butt slapper saw you flirting with another girl and was so jealous that you were no longer flirting with her that she made up ridiculous allegations out of whole cloth and put her credibility on the line with her boss by slandering a loyal customer at the establishment.

    So there is absolutely nothing you would have done differently in the past with respect to your patronage of this establishment? OK then, carry on...

    I am uncertain and I am not privy to the "behind the scenes" interactions or discussions, it was just very weird. I have known the owner atleast 3-4yrs before this happened or those employee's worked there. If that is the stance he want's to take I do not have an issue with it, my issue was based upon facts which the owner did not want to discuss.

    I'll just get banned from Hooters next and then use MapQuest and connect the dots.

    I'm just making fun of myself ok, no disrespect intended.
