Danny was driving the Gallardo on the Palisades Pkwy just now and got pulled over by the SAME COPS. Musclehead is back, and this time he gave him tickets for -- Following too closely -- Unsafe Driving -- Failure to Remain Right (i.e. driving in traffic in the left lane). He's finished. This is outright repeat harassment. I'm not resting until this guy loses his job.

Bring Danny's tickets with you to show clear repeat harrassment. Also file a formal complaint with the police department to document this harrassment. Worst case scenario, call your Asian connection...we are very good cleaners. hehe
I think that may be only for state troopers? I just spoke to Danny and he seems to have a handle on what needs to be done to make things right here. This officer needs to be shown the door based on his practices...period.
Well first of all since I've been so busy let me first say sorry to Brad and the gang for missing the B-day Bash. Happy B-Day. I would also like to send congrats and warm wishes to our pal Lupe on his upcomming wedding. Soory I missed the festivities. Now on to business. Thanks Emil for the link however we are dealing with the Palisades Parkway Police. This is a little rinky-dink police department that has about 5-8 miles of raod to patrol. In fact I thought at one time they were going to be dimantled for abusive power and fraudulent ticket writing and that the real NJ State Police were going to take it over. Don't know what ever happened to that, but it'd be nice if they were so that true professionals could police there. So I'm in rush hour trafic today heading southbound on the palisades doing between 40-60MPH. There isn't any clear roads anywhere. Not for driving in the right lane nor the left lane. I passed three cops doing traffic patrole. One had someone pulled over just over the NY/NJ boarder. The other on the grass in a legal U-turn area. And yet another turning around in an unmarked police cruiser as I passed the notourious No U-turn spot between exits 2-3 I think. I was following behind a dark blue Mercedes benz Kompressor thing. At about 50 MPH there was about six car lengths between us. As soon as the guy in the Benz saw the cop entering the No U-turn he jammed on the brakes to go from about 45-50 to 30-35MPH. So unfortunatly I had to hit my brakes and the distance got shortened just as I went past the No U-turn. There was an unbeleivable amount of traffic in both lanes and I did see the cop pull out. As I drove around the bend the Benz drove away faster and I tucked in to the right lane behind traffic. Now mind you I am now driving in the right lane when this cop pulled up behind me with the lights on. He even had them on from the other side of the bend before he even saw me! I immediatle pulled over. Low and behold it was the same two plain clothesed guys from the picture taking incedent where we first met these two cops. i recognized them right way. The musclehead guy with all the tatoos came up to my passenger window and the other short dumpy guy came up to my driverside. The muscle head guy said drivers license and reg. I gve it to him with my cousines card ( He is the Sargent of the State Troopers of Tarry Town NY) he through back the cards and said here you can have these back I only want your lisence. Then he says to me, what you don't remember me and my partner. Were in plain clothes when you and your buddies were taking pictures in the rest stop. So I said, well is that why you pulled me over. To which he relpied, no I pulled you over for following too closly. Then he goes and we've been getting all kinds of calls about you driving fast. So I said you mean in all this rush hour traffic, you can't drive anyfaster then traffic will let you, I wasn't driving on the grass. So he took my info and about a half hour later he came back to the car with three tickets. now get this the badge number of this meat head guy is 48 and his friend's the dumpy guy is 44. So even though the meathead took my license and gave me my tickets and explained everything to me, his dumpy friend was the one who actually wrote out the tickets so that when I file a complaint against him I have to do it now to two officers because as it looks on paper the meat head only gave me three the last time and is probably worried about giving me three more harassing tickets this time so had his dumpy friend do it. Anyway he comes back to the car and says "I'm giving you three tickets, but first your on the verge of getting a warrent out for you in NJ beacause of unpaid tickets." To which I said, I have no unpaid tickets, your trying to scare me, I just got a driving abstract from the state two days ago that shows nothing on my lisence at all. So don't scare me. He said nothing but told e thre three tickets. Following to closley, careless driving and failure to keep right. Then said if you want to pled to these tickets the information is on the back. I said thank you and see you in court! So the saga continues here with these guys. And to think I pay a portion of their salery, not directly but through the enourmous taxes i pay personally and through my business. Needless to say all of us, Rob, Noah, Baly and me will be going down there later this afternoon to lodge formal complants with the sargent for the other tickets and incedent and I wil be lodging two for today and last time. Any suggestions here. Does anyone know about internal affairs? How about someone in the force stepping up to the plate here? These are the kind of people who we give guns to to prtect us. They wear 'protect and serve' on their arms yet they've forgotten exactly what that means. To these guys in particulare it's about harraasing a guy with nice things. And to think if they knew it wasn't even mine, what a bunch of imature babies who obviously need to make up for something tragic in there past! Anyone, help here. My father is my legal counsile here for this however it'd be nice to get people in the field here to come out and stand up for something here! More as things unfold!

Danny - Sorry to hear this. This crook with a badge needs to be stopped from doing this aggravated harrassment ever again. What can your fellow EC F-Chatters do to help?? Bottom line, this will cost you a few $$$ to fight. Maybe we can all chip in some $$$ to help Danny out with this. Whuddya say fellas???
F***ing A**holes. I cannot believe that they continue to do this. Fight this and please do not give up. These guys are stupid and do not deserve to wear the badge.
Guys this sucks! Quick story here. The home owners association (girlfriends condo) just had a meeting with the Police regarding some break-ins we've had in the building and crime in the area in general. One of the things they told us was one evening they we had two kids get into our locked underground garage. The police were called. One of the owners came down into the garage and say a strange man looking around. Just shirt and pants. The guy says to him, "hey can I talk to you?" The hair on the owners neck weren't up and he immediately got his keys out, ran to his car, got in and locked his door." The individual came over to the car. Pulled out a badge and told him he was a police officer looking around. The owner then said "That doesn't mean anything to me." The man laughed and told him to call 911. He did and they said they had indeed dispatched an officer to our building and gave the owner the name of the officer and badge number. He then verified it and got out of his car. The police said that THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT YOU SHOULD DO!!!! The officer who was talking to us said she would have done the exact same thing. Sure they got a bit of a laugh out of it but they said it was a good feeling to know that there were still people who have a good head on their shoulders. They then told us of a rash of in home robberies in the area where individuals who have posed as police officers have duped their way into old persons homes. One "officer" or "cable man" or "phone man" distracts the individual while the other rifles through the house. One old woman lost $70,000 in antique jewelry and $10,000 in cash. The officer said "By all means call to verify the I.D. of an officer if you're not sure. They are there to "Protect and to Serve" and should understand any and all of your concerns. They said always to call in to verify if someone shows up at your door and you havent called or arranged for them to be there. The fact that these guys got upset that you were questioning their I.D.s just goes to show how untrained and uncaring they really are. They should have had no problem with you calling them in. They took it as a personal attack to their power and position. These guys are on a power and ego trip. Maybe living out here in La-La Land we have a little more touchy-feely police departments. I like to think they're just PROFFESIONALS. Knock these clowns down a few pegs.
Update: Just got back from the Palisades Parkway Police Headquarters. 3 formal complaints filed. Best part was that Musclehead was standing right there when we walked in. "Who are you here to file a complaint against?" (all three of us) "THAT GUY" It's in the hands of Internal Affairs now....
Excellent guys!!! Let's hope the system chews this guy up!! Side note - Just keep an eye over your shoulders in case musclehead has friends in other departments... Also, musclehead knows your addresses.
From what I've heard (luckily, I have friends too), Musclehead isn't very well-liked among other police officers, and has a reputation as a wannabe-hotshot with a chip on his shoulder. We're not the first people he's caused trouble with.
