    I just picked up my first F Car (92 512TR) about 6 weeks ago and I have noticed that everything I want done around the house costs 50-100% more. My garage doors have windows so as of today it is hard to conceal the fact that I own this car. Landscaping quotes are through the roof as are all quotes on the house. While I have not told co-workers and even many friends or family members, I see that this could have a regular effect (let him pay for it...). It has been a funny experience. Needless to say, I have ordered a car cover and new garage doors...

    Yeah -- situation normal. I always giggle when people say we benefit from cheap labor. The only people benefitting from cheap labor in my area are the people who employ the cheap laborers -- I get to pay double.
