    just talked to him and he said his secretary got a call from a friend who said it happened at Flinder(s) station...is there such station?

    this is a stupid question but is there such thing as april fool joke in austrilia (i have always thought it's a stupid thing)? i asked him if this is some sort of stupid and insensitive joke and he said he doesn't joke about things like this....

    it's strange because nowadays, we would have heard by now.....mike, is there such a place named Flinder station in melbourn?

    if somehow this is one of those stupid joke, i am gonna go berserk..(i have lots of patience but today just isn't a good day).

    btw, i am channel surfing here too and can't find anything at all.....given the speed of information, perhaps it's a misread of bomb thread and someone jump the gun.

    same here, mike. let's hope it is either a false alarm or someone jump the gun.
    i am no longer on the line w/ him (mcquirie bank in sidney) but told him to call and let me know.....i will be up until 3am (biz in asia)

    I just hope that this has not happened. For aus to be directly attacked will change quite a few things around here and over in the states. Anyways ill be keeping my eyes peeled on the net till then. Work can wait.

    I rang my wife to flick on Sky News at home and she said nothing was happening, and Sky is pretty on the ball with up to the minute affairs...
