Don't get me wrong I love the brand just like everyone else on here but I did think the following linked article was a breath of fresh air... Take it for what it's worth - some journalist's opinion... http://jalopnik.com/cars/ferrari/hackers-notebook-ferrari-hits-its-stride-191250.php -e
Pretending to be shocked at Ferrari's new found build quality is a joke re-hashed several times by journalists. Where has this person been for the last 10 years ? Ferrari cleaned up its game with the 550. Learn to write.
Some mis-info; lots of "cheek in tongue" crap but still a breath of fresh air writing in my not so humble opinion.
Very good article, however, I never recalled my 355 as having defeatable traction control. The only traction control on that car was my right foot.
Well-written, has some good points. Ferrari interiors were pretty ugly up until the 550/360. The inside of the 355 is only slightly better than the woeful 348 interior, with that sleep-inducingly-awful instrument cluster that looked like it could of been lifted straight off a Ford pick-up.
Very interesting and well-written article. I've read similar things in reference to the "character and flair" remark about the doorhandles--456's with the wrong badges on the inside, etc. And I think he has a legitimate point about the 599, and the 430. It does appear that Ferrari has upped it's game. I wouldn't be one to throw a fuss over a 348 or 355 because of the interior, though. The engine isn't called the heart of a Ferrari for nothing.
