    My car is heading to Studio47 on Dec 11th for Craig to perform my engine out. It will be the third engine out in my cars lifetime and I am at 13200 miles. The last engine out done at the end of 2009 and 9900 miles was by Dave Helms. Dave also did a compression check as well. He installed the newer green ECUs, installed chin guards, noted my car had newer style headers and steel guides. Im not expecting too many issues as the car runs flawlessly. What should I have Craig do or check in addition to the normal engine out items. I will be detailing the engine bay while its out.

    Because it's an f1 be critical on the engine mounts so your linkage does not hit the cross member. Ie if they r worn a bit just replace them. I took my alternator off and had it checked but I wish I had done the alt rebuild. Took the alt out after about 500 miles rebuilt and put back in within 3 months of the service. I know lots of us have had problems getting the power steering line off so we could drop the engine, if your guy does some damage to it just replace it while the engine is out. I did not damage mine but I was worried I could not get it tight enough when the engine went back in and it would leak but so far so good.

    I was told to replace those due to time for those reasons by Craig no matter how they looked. They are at the shop and ready for install. Good looking out though.

    When replacing the engine mounts.....upgrade to the 355Challenge mounts. They are used on the heavier 550 engine as well. The stock 355 engine mounts just don't last.

    Love the pics... I wish someone would do a video series of an engine service. I think there is one for the 348 but couldnt find one for the 355
