What's the best product that will work touching up areas where the undercoating is peeling away, like the rockers under the fuel tank area?

I just re-coated my fenderwells with DupliColor's stuff. I'm happy with the result. It dries to a rubberlike coating and it's easy to do: jack up the corner, pull the wheel (good time to clean up the lug bolts and the "back side" of the wheels), a little masking, mostly with rags draped over the suspension, and spray it on. The spray is easy to control and the new black over what used to be a sloppy grey/mud stains looks great.

+1. It's not quite the same as the Ferrari product that's on the decklid, but acceptable. Duplicolor has two versions of their undercoating - regular and "professsional". The latter costs $1 more per can, but gives a finer texture. That's what I use. -Steve

The OEM supplier to Ferrari is Wurth's SKS Black. Can be sprayed or applied with a foam brush. I used it to touch up the underside of the deck lid and the engine bay; when dry you can't tell the difference...

I removed the front spoiler on my 328 & I am going to get it 'refreshed'.. I read the archives and believe that the front spoiler & rocker panels are coated with 'shutz"..(sp?)
now I'm reading about wurths sks black?... I'm confused, I understand that THIS discussion about wurths is for fender wells/underside of decklid, but aren't all these 'textured coating' on the cars the same?

So which is it for the front (lower/black) spoiler on a 328?

I've used SKS Black w/ a foam brush on the front spoiler for touch up; I think its probably better and correct (in terms of getting the right texture) to spray it on, especially for large areas, for a uniform finish. It goes on grey, but turns black when fully dry. I was amazed at how spot on the color match is...

I "discovered" Wurth SKS when I had the lower panels of my '81 911 re-sprayed something like 15 years ago, and remember that I did quite a bit of research trying to confirm that they also supplied their water-based undercoating to Ferrari...

I would test this product first; seems like it s trying to do way too much. Bumpers, dashes, consoles?
