    Hello Everyone,
I'm in the process of doing alittle work that I started over the winter. What I've done thus far is remove the (correct me here) "frame" beneath the rear bonnet, it sort of holds the mesh inplace against the underside of the louvers. It usually starts to chip and rust, I had that Powder Coated. Looks Great.
I also, purchased my rivets from McMasters-Carr, they sell black rivets.

    My Question is:
On the underside of the rear Bonnett, the area that covers Plenum, is painted black. I would like to spray mine b/c its scratched, nicked, etc.

    What paint should I use?

I have the wurths stone guard which seems a perfect match but not sure about heat resistance status (i'm not home to check yet)

I plan on posting the whole process soon as well.

    Thanks,
    John.

its a heat shield to protect the painted upper surface of this area of the bonnet. I would use a heat proof paint instead of the underbody coating.

Powder coat it. Mine was rusting and flaking paint. So when I took the deck lid off to do the major 2 years ago, I tried to clean it up and put a rust inhibitor on it and then paint it with high temperature black paint. It's already flaking off. I plan to take it off some time soon and just get it powder coated.

I fellow FChat member, LenS had pm'd me.
He used the Wurths Stone Guard with no problem.

    Thanks Len.
