It's raining and I'm lucky enough to have a lift so I hoisted the Gallardo, pulled the wheels and started to clean and detail the brakes and underside. First time I've been under the car and what a nice piece of work. Many of the underpanels are a nicely finished aluminum as opposed to injection molded plastic. The fit, finish and sturdiness of everything is apparent. It may have some extra pounds but it looks to be in places that matter. Sub-frame rails and A arms to mention a few.

I leave the post because sometimes you get into things and the stuff you can't ordinarily see is a little suspect. The first time I had a 996 up I was surprised at the amount of plastic. It all works but still....

2 months with the car and liking it more everyday. Usually the thrill of a high end car wears off pretty quickly with me. My only complaint is the 1st to 2nd shift when cold. The car needs to be fully warm for it to work right. I'm going to play with the gear oil a bit.
