    I know this sounds crazy, but does anyone have a picture of the underside of the rear of a 355? Preferably a 5.2. Thanks in advance.

    I have the same pic with each undertray identified. Are you looking for one of the panels?

    No, I'm leaking oil somewhere and I was hoping if there was a picture, I could point out, which gasket (I think) is leaking.

    Is the leak toward the front, or the back?

    When you say the back, are you talking about the back of the car? Or the rear of the engine. If its the front of the engine and the oil is dripping onto the tray. Cam or even crank seals can piss oil onto the rear section of a 355 under trays. Is there an oil puddle under the tray after its been parked? Or oil spray on the rear bumper face? If you remove the rear section of the tray you will see the bottom crank section. If this is coated with fresh oil then it could well be the seals.

    sorry man, don't take it personally. I've been very busy at work and haven't been able to get online very much. It's hard for me to tell you where the leak is with words as I don't know all the proper terms. It's towards the back of the engine. As soon as I get a chance to take a picture, it'll make it clear to all of you that know what you're talking about. I just need to get home early enough so it's still light out, which means I might have to wait till saturday. Thanks though for trying to help. I truly appreciate it.

    Hi Daniel,

    Do you have a similar pic for the 348?

    Just curious to see where the difference for the ground effects are.

    If you read the marketing brochure, it's as if they've stuck a 747-wing (upside down of course) 'neath the F355 for the ground effect that the 348 lacks. But the F355 outlets appear puny compared to the 360 and subsequent F430 so I wonder how significant are they anyway, beyond the marketing babble.

    So as it turns out, it's not the engine oil that's leaking at all, it's the gearbox oil. One of the gaskets under the gearbox is bad. Daniel, I looked at your website and can't figure out which one to order. Can you help please? By the way, taking off the dipstick screw for the gearbox oil was a BEAR!!!! Did anyone else have that problem? I ripped skin off both hands doing it :D

    I too think they are a tad small compared to the 360/430/enzo, though I am sure they do something.....like maybe 10 or 20 lbs... of downforce....:p...;)??

    Model = lbs = kg @ 180mph approx.
    F355 = 220 = 100
    360S = 374 = 170
    360M = 397 = 180
    F430 = 550 = 252 (360 + 40%)
    F430 = 573 = 260
    CS__ = 592 = 270
    F50_ = 683 = 310
    Enzo = 1710 = 775

    Just for comparison, and reality, here are the downforce figures of those cars at 90mph. A common road and track speed.

    Model - lbs of Downforce @ 90mph

    F355 = 55
    360S = 93.5
    360M = 99.25
    F430 = 137.5
    F430 = 143.25
    CS__ = 148
    F50_ = 170.75
    Enzo = 427.5
    Interesting comparisons:
    Nissan NPT-93 = 2,041.25
    Carrera GT = 123.25
    VW Beetle = 370 lbs of lift!

    IMO, car companies should concentrate on more downforce at more common speeds. A measly 55lbs of downforce for the F355 at highway speed is at least better than lift. But on the track, where these cars are intended to be used, 50-150mph are achieved and greater downforce would be beneficial.
