    Road America is gone.

August 20 was the race. Would have been a great weekend combined with ALMS. :(

Long Beach remains as the last Champ Car race, as a standalone event

We've been CANCELLED??????? Get me Racehourse Haynes on the phone.....

Ms. Grand Prix and her girls are gonna be PIS SED!!!!!

It would have also been a huge chance for the City of Houston to finally honor AJ Foyt in his hometown, as they feted Mario during the CART years here.......RATS!!!!!

Very sad to see Road America not on the schedule, but at least there are a decent number of road courses. I just cannot get into oval racing, but I'm going to try now that there is a unified series.

Didn't see The Danica at the press conference. Guess there are still issues with Rahal-Letterman.
There are going to be a lot of painful changes in the short term but long term it is best for open wheel racing in the states.
Nascar was absorbing all the pro racing audience.
    United we stand...

I wonder what will happen to Long Beach next year. I heard that if CHAMP goes away it will be replaced by an endurance race like ALMS or Grand-Am. I forget which one.

Working on getting Edmonton and Surfers Paradise on the schedule, Road America is gone for this year (which sucks), I'm sure Long Beach will be back with all Indy Cars in 09. They can't lose Long Beach, it's their Monaco and Tony George has coveted this market since they went road racing.

This merger came as schedules were already determined for 2008. I think if we have patience, 2009 will be the the start of a more structured program.

ALMS already races at Long Beach. It's the pits as far as I'm concerned - not a real road race just a waste of 2 hours (basically just a sprint race) - it's the shortest ALMS race on the sked.
