Wow!!! What a car! This will be one to watch.

I just read he had no side vent window on driver's side. Odd that he kept it on passenger side.

And among others, no metal surrounding on the closed headlights.

All cars personally owned by Battista Pininfarina had no side vent window on the driver's side, Battista didn't like that. See also 250 Lusso.

But a chromed surrounding on the rear.
Plus about 25 additional different details.

Interesting. It is a nice clean look. I am just surprised he did not do it on both sides for symmetry.

It really is beautiful and I have never seen that color. Thank God no previous owners took the liberty of "Improving" it by painting it red, black, yellow, or something else. And hopefully it remains the same color under its next owner.

06437 has been a different colour. Not saying Ed Niles painted it but was burgundy when he owned it. These are Ed's pics that he posted previously.

The Gooding's stated range is $8M to $10M. I think it will hit that range and then some; it's certainly not a 275 GTB/C, but those cars are different beasts and well more than double the price.

This car is one of one; great provenance and features. It will be fun to watch it cross the stage on Saturday and see where it ends up.

the rear vertical slats were originally painted black along with a black shadow line. interesting that it wasnt replicated as specified by pininfarina.

Were the vertical slats an early form of underbody diffuser? Can't say I have seen any other car from that era with them.

My guess is that it was an attempt to direct exhaust fumes/carbon away to keep the rear of the car clean and exhaust fumes out of the cabin. Also the rear wheels on 275s will spray dirt and debris on the exhaust pipes. They must be kept clean, car designers can be a bit OCD you know . . .;)

The car is absolutely stunning in person, one of the great 275 Berlinettas.
