    this is been for sale for some time. I remember when it was first being sold in Northern California for an actually reasonable price. I guess someone else bought it and now wants a heck of a lot more.

    I meant to also say that the "converted" car reminds me that the 355 wasn't an entirely new car, but an update from the 348 not unlike the transition between the 308 and 328 that came before. Which was the more significant update, 328 to 348, or 348 to 355? The evolution from 355 to 360 represented monumental change.

    Monumental change? Ferrari reused the 355 motor but put it in Nissan looking body panels...

    I never said "monumental" was "good!" I think the 355 is the sweet spot in the evolution.
