So I have a bunch of reasonably priced watches. Nothing too fancy, and nothing very expensive, especially compared to some of the amazing pieces folks post in the "what watch are you wearing" thread. :)

I like different or unique watches but have well over 20 watches and just don't wear some of them.

So I have a few watches up for sale in the classified sections. Some fun stuff I think. I think all of them, except maybe the Vostok, are decent quality watches not junk. But they aren't worth all that much.

Take a look and let me know if you like any. Can answer questions or take more pics if anyone wants.

You guys have any cheaper yet still unique watches?

    John,

Good luck with thinning the herd.

Regarding your last line: most of mine are 'cheaper yet still unique'

However, I do vintage - even the 'new stuff' is at least a half century old.

The wristwatches are small and most aren't water resistant, let alone waterproof. In my opinion the pocket watches are cool but that opinion is very limited (me and Walnut and now Pol has made an impulse buy... :^) ). The pocket watches that are 50 - 150 years old are actually practical timekeepers and will present as unique - no one else is wearing pocket watches! The railroad watches and European chronometers are remarkable pieces, once serviced and set up, and are a great value. But you won't have wrist candy on.

For actually unique pieces - look at the English Fusees - I've daily worn the 1851 watch Rich (Walnut) is cleaning and oiling but only carry the pre-revolutionary war stuff once in a while, for fun.

There's plenty of unique stuff that is reasonably priced it all depends on perspective and what strikes your fancy.

    Regards,

    Art S.

    PS.

Yup. I have my old GP pocket watch conversion too still. It's definitely unique. But I like not having the same watch as every other person out there. If I had the budget would I have a nice Rolex collection or an AP or two? Maybe. So I just have fun with the budget I do have. Sometimes it's great and sometimes like the Omega Swatch and the Vostok it doesn't feel or look right. Still fun to me.

Have some interest in a couple of them so we'll see what happens.
