Thanks for sharing - I'm surprised how nice this looks, because prior photos I've seen were not very flattering - these photos show it off much better than I ever recall seeing it.

My hunch is this design concept was simply too early for the subsequent XJS, no? There were other design proposals for the E-Type's successor that never made it either..

Yes the Gandini / Espada DNA is very clear... I love the Espada even though it can be a 'divisive' design aesthetic.
    Cheers,

The "Boxer" blackout sills make it look like it sits too high.

I think that's a quirk highlighted by these photos. As soon as the cameraman stands UP from the abnormally low photo angle, I think that impression of height is reduced - like the bottom photo. What do you think?

It does looks remarkably tall from the rear, with the narrow track - compared to the wider Espada.

Somewhat. Still very dark underneath there. You would think the light surface would help but it really doesn't. It does seem to "hover", giving it a certain lightness.

With the possible exception of the rear "haunches", I see little or no Jag in this. Maybe some Mercury Capri...

Not a fan, and I typically like Bertone's wedgey shapes...
