    Been waiting at airport for 5 1/2 hours. Plane will be over 4 1/2 hours late. First they said it would be an hour late, coming out of Tampa, then it was 2 1/2 hours coming out of SF, then 4 1/2 hours coming out of some other state, heading to SF first.

    I'm so pissed, if they had just told me they had no idea when it would get here I would have jumped on southwest.

    So, I hope that some plane will be here for a 6:30 departure so I can enjoy my 2 hr flight to Denver.

    So not even snacks in the flight. Two people got stopped at the gate because there connection apparently got canceled, they waited until they were walking onto the plane to tell them. We took off without them.

    Just landed in Denver I passed the united customer service counter, there were at least 50 people in line and looked about as happy as I did.

    Not a good day for united customers.

    So there was a panel falling off, I asked the flight attendant if it was important, she said "yeah but it falls off all the time" then ignored it.

    I flashed to the six flags attendant that told that lady "you'll be fine" minutes before she flew off the ride.

    I'm sure it wasn't critical, but her lack of concern was disturbing.

    It's an interior panel. Hardly critical. Who cares?

    That sucks about them not being honest about the flight delays. :(

    Trust me.... I have a lot more to be PO'd about than you! :)

    United has the only direct flight out of Kuwait to the US... and I absolutely REFUSE to fly United.

    It's a long story, and it's bedtime for me... but, I will come back to this thread tomorrow and happily tell my United story...

    I think all airlines are ****. So I just try and be the calmest I can when I fly. I've learned the people who complain the loudest are the ones they treat the worst.

    I have no doubt that my experience was minor compared to others.

    The return trip was on time! I forgot just how big Denver airport is, glad I got there early.

    I hate traveling sometimes. Get up at 4 am for an 8:30 flight out of Glasco to Heathrow to LAX flying business class. Flight cancelled at 6 am, American airlines rebooked us out of Edinburgh (40 miles away) in economy on British Airlines at 11:30 then 3:45 to LAX. AA says nothing other than economy is available. We get to Edinburgh and they say there are seats in all classes available to LAX but can’t book them, has to be done at Heathrow. I call British airlines and they say I have to call American to upgrade. I call American who says well they would have to cancel our booking and charge us $14k a ticket. Get to Heathrow and head to customer service. They can upgrade us to business for $1,100 a ticket, but have to start from scratch as the AA system and British systems don’t talk to each other. Very, very nervous lady helping me. It took 55 minutes to upgrade 4 tickets. I tried to tip her $100lbs but said they couldn’t take it. I left it on the counter and said I’d buy lunch for everyone at customer service (3 people).


    Had access to all lounges, so that was a plus. Headed to board and flight was delayed as they try to find a plane that works.


    Sitting back in the lounge with fingers crossed.

    Just another guy with 2 million miles on United. I have had my share of disappointments but it wouldn't be fair just to focus on that. Status helps. I can't tell you how great it feels after flying a number of short legs on third world airlines to get on a United flight to head home. At least for my travels.....they try to make things better.

    I can't imagine running an airline........the number of people and moving parts is crazy.
