97 355 part #63341400 buffer, dealer wants $63.78, Ricambi is a couple bucks less .... My Gawd this is a 1 inch piece of FRICKIN rubber that goes on the side on the engine compartment and acts as a buffer when you close the engine cover ....... Forget that. Reasonable is plug #14507987 a rubber plug that goes into the front tow hook hole and is only $2.16 at the dealer, the above mentioned other party wants over $6 bucks. Bought one. LH Handle #64830900 which my guess says 50-100 bucks minimum, is only $3.26 from the dealer. Bought one. So do your research before you purchase parts, and as always use Ferrarichat first P.S. So still looking for the buffer at a reasonable cost ........ If there is such a thing lol
I think it is that rubber piece on the left and right side of the rear deck that reduces vibration and cushions the deck lid when closing. Both of mine have degraded and fallen off. Had a hard time finding replacments and just left it be.
Looks like this, maybe I should have some made ...... Sell them for half price, a "steal" at $30 bucks each ... Lol Image Unavailable, Please Login
On the other side ..... I will attempt to forgot that I noticed it missing, at $60 plus I will have to or go completely nuts. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Which one ? I am looking at a Ferrari Dealers invoice quote as we speak ...... Or text It says quantity "1" and costs $63.78
This is why they go for $1k each... they know you will go completely nuts if you don't have the correct one.
I made one out of rubber strips from Clark Rubber. Only a few bucks. Glued in place. Wasn't paying $60 for small piece of rubber! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I paid $8.34 Canadian at dealer in 2008 for that buffer. I hope this price increase is not a sign of things to come.
I used some weatherstripping and made a couple. Even with both sides of oem ones, it still had a rattle. Now its perfect. It's basically just a piece of rubber.
