The rubber grommet needs replacing, do you know how the ariel unscrews off the base?

Aerial* Unless you mean an Ariel Atom?

What is the aerial for? The normal radio antenna is embedded in the windshield. It looks very non-Ferrari, so the mounting method will depend on the manufacturer.

The aerial is in that position on the early cars, although that looks non standard, as it should be a springy type. I believe they bolt on from underneath.

OEM is like a 12 inch whip, a stiff whip but a whip. It's not think and stocky. Aftermarket for certain. From underneath it is mounted you can be sure.

The whole assembly unbolts from underneath; you need to remove the interior light and you will see the bolt.

The bent aerial you are referring to just unscrews, from the aerial mount. As said above standards is about 12” long. You can get them on Amazon for about £4. I’ve bought two recently!

Haha thanks for that! Yeah the antenna part's off a Prius :D, more sturdy for when a cover's on it.

Will attempt changing grommet on the weekend, gotta be water tight when living in England!
