    Was it the 642 or the 643 that Alain Prost referred to as driving like a truck, that comment resulting in him getting fired by Ferrari late in the 1991 season?

    @DeSoto, we found them in a basement of an old and decrepit farmhouse we were looking at, close to Maranello. There are so many of these, including ones so large that they're hard to take pictures of. They look stunning, almost like Pasticcino's tortellini :)

    Alain Prost...Grrrrr! Never liked him, nor his opinion.

    These are really awesome drawings from another era, when people had no CAD and more creativity. It’s like looking at Leonardo’s paintings vs Avatar.
    I wonder how many beautiful things you can find around Maranello, since almost everyone around the area seems to be connected to speed somehow.
    Congratulations on a remarkable find.

    @DeSoto Some external office might have closed down back in the days? It seems that Ferrari has a lot of external collaborators nobody knows much about...I think there's much more to be found. All you need to do is eat here and there, not the usual places, and soon enough you're on an unexpected treasure hunt. Take an advice, don't eat where EVERYONE eats in Maranello (The usual 2 suspects). Just look for Ferrari F1 linked alternatives and pretty soon you meet the heart & soul of a certain Maranello

    The 643 was the evolution of 642 for later in 1991, so Prost's comment was about 643.

    First drawing shows plan view comparison between 641/2 of 1990 (by Scalabroni) and 642 evolution by Nichols. Side view looks like 641/2.

    Great find, BTW - even better than the drawing by Barnard I snapped at Ferrari museum some years ago - thanks for sharing.

    They were using cad/cam but nothing like today. What is certain is when these drawings were produced they were way more important to the overall design and build process than anything drawn by hand today-and that is pretty damn cool

    This is 1 meter long, not easy to take a decent picture. This one is amazing to see in person, will look amazing on a wall, provided it does not fade.
