What I know is probably not that strange. I will post what I think is out of the ordinary. What have YOU seen or heard about ? A.J. Foyt's car is in town. I suppose it is the most unusual one I have ever seen. It is silver/black with a dark solid burgundy interior. I am pretty sure it was a BBi. Solipsist / Will H may remember ? I have seen in pics of a white BBi, with a tan interior and dash. It is forsale. In Europe (CH) there is a solid black BBi, with a solid lipstick red interior and dash ! It looks nice. Forsale - on mobile.de Any others ? Please no kitty pics. Thanks
You probably won't believe me but I've seen a red one with a black interior. I'll see if I can find some pics to prove it.
I have a 1978 Chiaro Blue 512BB with Tan/Black. Maybe not the most exciting color but I really didn't want another Red car. The Black with Red int. is very flashy. I looked at a 246GTS chairs & flairs that color once and loved it. But it was already sold. Best regards, Ralph

what about this one: white/white, also found on mobile.de, located in switzerland. http://www.mobile.de/SIDUfHl.XImNjaH8dadYBaR.A-t-vaNexlCsAsCsK%F3P%F3R~BmSB11LsearchPublicJ1100783888A1LsearchPublicD1100CCarX-t-vctpLtt~BmPA1A1B20B33%81A-t-vCaMkMoSmVb_X_Y_x_ysO~BSRA6D1100D8600BbbBBBHinPublicA2A0A0A0A0/cgi-bin/da.pl?bereich=pkw&top=12&id=11111111133080203&
Kevin thanks for digging up those pics. Ermin. That car has been forsale for a long time. It is located in France.
I did not remember the ex Foyt car as having a black lower.....I'll check it again.....I guess it does.... I sure wish the widow would do something with that car, it's sad to watch it sit...her husband you'll recall paid $128K with 'auction fever" at Indy. He said, "Honey, it'll be worth $250K someday!!!!!", then he croaked.....she's checking her calendar, for that day......
This was the day I let it go after 22 years of ownership. The NACA duct on mine was red just like in the 1976 sales brochure. BTW, the car disappeared after going thru one owner in Minn.and one non-F dealer in Florida. Would appreciate any info on its whereabouts, I want to buy it back. Are you sure the underbody is black? I saw a Boxer like this one at the Concorso Italiano that was actually silver/dark grey! The grey was so dark that I thought it was black at first until I compared it with a red/black car that was parked nearby.........
Speedy is going to check to make sure. I have not seen the car in a year. I am not 100% about the lower color. Everything else is correct. - The dark burgundy interior and silver. The lower color may be different. Yes the widow is a flake. I thought about the car about a year ago. She feels the car is worth over 100K. It needs some $$$ to be a good driver. So she lets it sit.
Was ther any rhyme or reason for the grill colors? Gray or black? I have a 83 red with a black grill and ive seen them with gray as well? Wondering
Both were available IIRC, owner option....Msdesign has more info on this. I forgot to look at the maroon/grey last time I was by.......sorry!
I notices some 512 bbi have horses in the carpet ahead of the shifter, is this true for all? Mine may be under the carpet?
Good Eye... My 83 has the horse. Could it be a model year change or that the carpets were replaced by previous owners?
