i am a fan of the unusual colors. i love rubino and rosso corsa antica, and verde scuro, and blu abu dhabi etc etc. if anybody has some good pics of the less common colors, please post.
I always like going to the below site to see some unique colors on various Ferrari's over the years. http://www.ferrari-collection.net/color/ferrari_colors.htm
I am biased of course but I really like this one: https://www.dropbox.com/s/xljnombkgqzf14z/%2Acorkscrew%20apex.jpg?dl=0 Best regards, Robert
This was a Tiffany Blue F430 Scuderia I saw when driving past Ferrari of Newport Beach. Image Unavailable, Please Login

I'm a big fan of blue. My favourite Ferrari blue colour is Avio Metallic but Rosso Vinaccia is an incredible colour which i've seen it in person. Simply A M A Z I N G !
Well the exterior was oridinary black but look at the interior color of Keith Richard's 400i that sold last year. Image Unavailable, Please Login
I agree on Avio. It's one of those colors you have to see in person on a sunny day to fully appreciate. I have and it's spectacular...T
My two favourite rare Ferrari colours are Giallo Dino (on the Daytona) and Giallo Senape (Mustard Yellow - on the 246). Anecdotally, these are funny choices for me because Fly Yellow is probably my least favourite colour of all time, but these two yellows, one muted and pale, the other more ochre in tone, are both really beautiful to me. I am also a huge fan of OLD shades of Avorio. Mainly through the 70's. Back then they were much more subtle and closer to white than the new version, which to me just looks like beige (which is also fine). Check out these older versions of Avorio and compare to the newer version shown above. The older versions are interesting and complex colours. I think Marcel once said there were 13 versions in total! The 365 QM is Avorio but due to the lighting it looks a lot like Giallo Dino. PS- I think the GT/4 belongs to a member here...Mike. But it wasn't labeled in my image file for some reason. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Great pics. Obviously I'm a fan of avorio! New and old. I'm still impressed at how much it can change from bright sunlight to overcast days. Still as you said, not as white as the classuc, but with a tinge of brown /yellow...T
Seabird is not a very elegant name. The Italian translation, uccello marino, already sounds a lot better!
You may want to do a bit more research and find out that Carrozzeria Pininfarina in the 1960s used a number of 30 names of thoroughbred racehorses for special colors, such as Azzurro Gladiateur, Argento Le Sancy, Grigio Le Sancy, Nero Dark Ronald, Avorio The Tetrarch, Bianco Tetratema, Celeste Gainsborough, Giallo Man O'War, Viola Blanford Stalvert, Marrone Colorado, Grigio Ortello, Verde Blenheim, Blu Tourbillon, Azzurro Hyperion, Verde Bahram, Grigio Mahmoud, Rosso Nearco, Amaranto Bull Lea, Oro Nasrullah, Blu Caracalla, Oro Kelso, Blu Ribot, Verde Seabird, etc etc, all names of legendary and highly successful thoroughbreds originating from France, Ireland, UK, USA, Italy, Canada and Venezuela (horses born between 1862 and 1969). Yes, blu Ribot is one of my favorite colors. When repainting my 308GT4 it was a choice between changing to blu Ribot (from the previous owner's rosso corsa) or going back to the original color verde pino. Ultimately green won out. It did take a little (but not much) research to find the origin of "Ribot."
