Drove McLaren F1 at 175 mph on I-30 between Arlington Tx. and Fort Worth.

Featured on front page of USA Today with a full color layout. (1991 I believe)

During early flying lessons, put a Cessna 150 into a flat spin at 1800 feet. Instructor saved the plane with top branches of trees scraping the wheels as we pulled up.

Drove my old '23 t-bucket econo altered roadster to 8.96/168 mph in quarter mile. Single 4 bbl carb car.

Beat future 250cc National M/X champion Tony Distefano at 250cc National Race at Lake Whitney, Texas (1973)

Won "Most Knowledgable BMW Specialist in North America" competition.

Worked with the Risi Comp guys

Got rather intimate with one of the girls off Hee-Haw (Dark hair clothesline and cotton field girl) >>>>:>)

There is my 15 minutes of fame...............

Went through North Ridge earthquake back in the 1990's. Not fun, and one big one is enough.

Standing on a motorcycle doing around 60km/h....I was about 12 years old.

Asked the lady in the subway ticket booth in Paris for direction and time, only got her reply as "I don't care, my working hour is up" and she walked off the booth to stand next to us and had a smoke.... and she won't answer still.

Walking to the subway station in Paris and got harrassed by 2 teens for no reason... I shout at them and started to jump on them when they decided this little asain guy won't go down easy and ran off.

Walking near the Effle Tower in Paris (again), got picked pocket by two young boys (no older than 7), grabbed his hand and wanted to slap him silly, but the wife stopped me. Police was near by but didn't give ****. They ran off.

I swear I'd never go to Paris again.

I once did two unexpected 360's in a 1974 International Travelall on an ice covered 2 lane bridge with no shoulders. I didn't hit a thing. When the spinning was done, I continued on my way. For those of you that aren't familiar with Travelalls, they're about the size of a Suburban.

That reminds me I exited an interstate backwards after spinning 180 in a BMW 2002 in about 1982. It happened on an icy bridge. Interestingly, after the car spun 180 it stablized and traveled backwards in a virtual straight line at about 50 miles per hour giving me a view of all the wide eyed drivers behind me. Off to the grassy shoulder, it choked down, restarted the car and back onto the road with shakey hands.

Happened to me in a heavy downpour.

I was accelerating up to speed as I merged. As I crossed over the Botz dots between lanes, the backend of my 66 Mustang broke loose and shot out to the right. I lifted off the gas and tried to get on the brakes but the centrifugal force put my foot back on the gas and I really lit the tires up.
I remember looking back down the freeway and seeing a dump truck headed my way =:0 The car completed the 360 and the drivers side front fender tapped the concrete divider in the center of the freeway. The car stopped in the emergency lane pointed in the correct direction. Seconds later all these cars roared by us.
At that point my passenger said. "I wasn't wearing my seatbelt........."

I got out to check damage. The fender was folded in in front of the tire. But it was not hitting the tire and the headlight was not broken, just missaligned.

I cleaned out my shorts, got back in and finished the drive to work.

Fell asleep at the wheel with three college buddies riding along after playing poker and drinking Jack until we left at dawn for a road trip. Woke up in the middle of the grass median on I93 in NH going 50. For a second or two I thought I was a passenger, my hands weren't even on the wheel. Luckily the grass is sloped to the center for drainage, which kept me from going back onto the highway. Never going to drive tired again......never told the guys - they were asleep too.

Oh, and I fell off a cliff once. That hurt. Have two scars from that one.

9 years old, soaked my sneakers in gas, and lit them up so I would leave footprints in the street marking the lines for a kickball game. Got to third base and made a beeline for the grass after my pants caught fire.

In high school, I would take 3 people in a little Honda civic and jump the flood dam in a parking lot (3 foot high burm) . Got great air – went over 20 feet, did this about a dozen different times, then tried it in my 67 firebird – the gas tank fell out on the landing.

Daughter and mother tag team – they wore me out.

Vandenberg air force base in the late 80s, I was on the launch team for titan IV, it blew up 300 feet off the pad. Thought we were all gonna die (back then we launched from a bunkhouse at the pad). Came outside when it was clear, only to find out that my rental car got vaporized to a hunk of steel the size of a trashcan, it is still there as a reminder for Quality Assurance.

Got my dad arrested after riding a dirt bike thru the neighborhood all day, when my dad got home from work, I said ‘dad, you gotta try this out – I have been tuning it up all day’ He got on it, and a half hour later, he was pushing it up the street with a cop behind him. The neighbors called the cops on me, but guess who the cop caught riding it. I think he got every ticket imaginable.

Was hauling cars in a semi car transport that I bought, power steering blew out and I was lost in a small town. Trying to maneuver that beast was not easy as I was knocking over benches, small trees, signs and flower pots. I got out of there fassssssssst as I could.

Same car transport, fuel pump seal blew out while in the middle of a car show in Carlisle unloading cars. My dad drove, while I was on the front bumper with the hood up and spraying ether down the air box - yes, pedestrians were getting out of our way as the show was under way. Dropped the can on the jerky ride and the radiator fan caught the can of ether and blew up my radiator – lost a lot of hair that day.

Got stuck on a ski lift at Keystone for 5 hours cause the bull wheel fell off – me and my buddy smoked 2 packs of cigarettes while waiting to get lowered down – and I don’t smoke!!.

In college, we built a huge 7 foot tall schlong outside the local sorority during winter. I got detained by campus security for grabbing the fire hose and spraying the whole quad down while aerosmith big ten inch was blaring.

Wow, you guys made me remember something else.

While working at the BMW store in Odessa, Texas I went for a ride with one of our techs in his 300ZX that he had twin turboed. Earlier in the day he had seen me in the shop and asked me if I wanted to go for a ride later. Of course I said sure and forgot about it. After the shop closed all the techs gathered around someones truck and were popping a few beers before going home. I walked into the shop and the tech asked if I wanted to ride down the service road to the liquor store about a mile away to get some more beer. Yep, we could do that.

I got in the car with him and he put the cooler right behind the passenger seat of his twin-turbo. We pulled onto the service road and he hit the gas. He was a good driver so it did not bother me to be going fast on this road. I had done it many times myself. He had just gone into 4th gear and we were slightly over 110 mph when we looked up and this little old man in a Chevy Luv pickup was pulling out from a stop sign onto the service road about 150 yards ahead of us. All the tech had time to do was flick the car to the right and take it onto the grass median between the service road and the highway. There was a cable supported by utility pole diameter poles separating the service road from the highway so we had to try to miss the cable also. We slid past the litlle old man going sideways in the grass. We must have been still doing 80 when we passed him. The tech tried to steer out of the skid and the car spun back onto the service road and was going backward. The car eventually stopped and backed into the entrance of the cemetery next door to the liquor store.

I removed the cooler from over my head where it had landed just in time to see the little old man slowly motor past us on down the service road. I don't think he ever saw us. I had to pick ice out of my shirt pocket and from the seat of the car. I was cold as could be but I don't think the ice and ice water is what made me shiver...........The tech started the car back up and pulled on over to the liquor store. I am very glad we were sliding sideways on grass and did not hit something hard. I can just imagine how many times we would have flipped at that speed.

When we got back the tech got out and was trying to explain everything to the rest of the guys back at the dealership. I don't think they were believing him until I got out, soaked from head to foot...............Yes, laughter broke out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!I had to go to the bathroom................
