"UPDATE" message freezes my Autoradio

    Please I need your help
    Today suddenly when I turned on my f430 spider 2008, I got this message " UPDATE " on the screen of the auto radio Becker 6112 cascade and it freezes the radio
    Touching all buttons to escape this mode did not help and nothing happens
    I took off the keys from the ignator and than I closed the car using the remote control
    Still this message appears on the screen as it is awaiting to receive a CD for updates.
    I need urgently to go out this mode and to shut down the radio, or the battery will drain
    The radio has the navigation system & IPod even though in my country the navigation maps are not yet ready ( when I got my F430 from the dealer there was no CD nor compact flash).
    Please can somebody helps. Thanks

    Nic,

    Stupid question I know, but did you check the owner's manual for your sound unit? You might be able to find it On-Line too.

    "Error" codes and other messages are usually discussed in the back of the manual.

    Yes I did check my 200 pages manual, no error Codes chapter, nor a reset button is found
    As is it Sunday today, no garage is found open...
    I hope battery will last till Monday
