I finally finished the R&D on a new perch for the mondial. for those who know the the top mounting for the mondial is not the same as the 308. as such one needs to design a new mount. in my pictures i originally used the sherical beering to mount the coilover and although this is fine it is not the same way ferrari mounts the struts. ferrari uses the upper strut mount to rigidly hold the spring and shock body while the strut rod mounts to a beering. when replacing the OEM struts to the coilover setup the coil overs have no way of rigidly mounting with the frame.

I designed a new perch mount that allows the coilover to rigidly mount to the frame and allow the strut rod to pass through a polyurethane beering. the design of the plate will not cause any problems with the coilovers as i have also delt with the manufacture as to their stresses and support mounts.

i've includded a rendering from my softeware to show the original mount and the new mount. the new mounts are going through final machining and i'll have them next week.

they are not two pieces that is only the section cut for the 3d-modeling.

Nice work, I might be interested in a set if you are headed in that direction.

accutually yes i have thought of offering these to those interested. how do i put this...my concerns are of someone else deciding to run off and manufacture them, cutting me out of the loop or potential profits. i did have to go thru the issues of fitment and design. however i'm not doing this to look for a way to make money, i needed them for the application so i designed them and had them made. but i am worldy enough to know that other people do look for ways to make money off of someone elses work.

i can though have others made and sell those for cost + ??. thats what i'm unsure of. many other people would also need these if they went to coilovers, but how many? what other models share the mondial top mount? cost at the moment is $60 per corner. that can change based on run and quantity, and not nesseciarly down eithier.

these are my concerns. i'm sure others have been down this road.
