UPDATE: Moving to Austin!

Hey guys, if you remember me a few months ago I said I wanted to move to Texas, then it was decided upon Austin. Well I just got back from a 5 day stay there, at the doubletree on 15th with a view of the capital, and had an excellent time!

Went up to Round Rock, to Bee Caves, Westlake and Lakeway, downtown, South, almost everywhere, even East ;-).

My girlfriend and I decided on a condo and not a house, as a house was too "adult" for us only being 21. So after looking everywhere for a couple of days we decided the city was for us. We really liked the 555 at the Hilton, but it was just too expensive for ~1,200 sq. ft. place, for now.

To make a long story short we decided on a nice condo, 1200 sq. ft., across from the Arboretum area, and it is only 10 minutes to downtown (no traffic). It also allows my girlfriend to get a job nearby, downtown or even up North a bit. The place was very young and already met 4-5 people there in their early twenties, something we really wanted.

We are very excited to be moving there in 1-2 months and loved the place. UT had a very nice, large campus and like I said, the capital was amazing. Saw 2 testarossas on 6th and ate at some great places. Saw where the Bush girls got arrested (Chuey's I believe?), ate at the Green Mesquite, Spaghetti Warehouse and some other places.

All the contracts haven't been signed yet, still waiting on a fax, but the earnest money has been put down and our place reserved. As you can see I'm very excited, but don’t want to jinx anything.
