I ordered one from Eurospares a year or more ago, but when I finally went to use it, I discovered its the wrong one that doesn't have the hole to accept the centering bushing according to TSB1315, I wanted to replace this bracket to update the car to the more reliable tensioner but it seems that everyone that has it actually has the old bracket and has it listed wrong. The highlighted part is the part that needs the wider, deeper hole.

Remove the bushing (as the TSB recommends), problem solved.

True… but that pretty much defeats the purpose of the updated tensioner. Engines already in a million pieces, I might as well do it right.

If the engine is apart. It would be a simple matter to modify the bracket to accept the bushing.

I don't have a drill press unfortunately. Is this something you have to do often?

I haven't needed to do it.
I have a machine shop, and could easily bore the recess if necessary.

Most of these have all been updated in our area. Occasionally we see one and simply drill the hole oversized and install a stainless helicoil.

I really do not like that method. The support dowell had a very good reason for being there. It takes the shear load off the bolt. They have had the bolts break and Ferrari introduced that fix (and it was a good one) but then discontinued the mount.

I have installed many and never bought the mounts. It is an easy modification to make the mount accept the updated tensioner. I have done 2 in the last couple of weeks.

    It is simple anyway.

Exactly...one of the main reasons I am updating that tensioner is because of the new "design". Removing the bushing would make it an exercise in futility IMO. I don't have access to a machine shop but it may be easier just to send it to someone with experience to modify the current bracket if that's truly the only difference.

Updated tensioner is also stronger. One of the mounting ears was breaking off on the previous design.
