Anyone know how to remove the interior trim that runs up the A-pillars and across the top? I can just work it out if needed but any pointers would be helpful.

Why the question: One thing that REALLY annoys me about the 599 is that the Homelink is very old and won't run more modern rolling code door openers. I have popped out the buttons and the module is separate from the buttons. The module is held onto the trim with bolts, from the back side, so you have to remove the trim to get to the module. Yes, the buttons and module are separate and connected by a ribbon cable.

I ordered a retrofit (new style) Homelink system. I am thinking I can attach wires to the button inputs on the new module and connect those to the ribbon cable. That will let me replace the module and keep stock buttons.

I will keep you all updated on progress.

John- That Homelink should work fine with rolling code door openers. Try just pressing the button on the garage door opener motor and then hitting a button on the 599 homelink instead of following Ferrari's arcane instructions.

I have tried but will try it again. it was about 2008 that they switched to the newer system. I got a repeater and that worked (intermittently) for a while but was still problematic.
