Upper radiator hose replacement suggestion

This isn't concours correct, but since I decided to use Purosil coolant hose , which has a half life of plutonium, everywhere in the cooling system, I needed some way to make that bend into the top of the radiator, as the Purosil doesn't bend well without kinking.

The 1 5/8" hose will slip over the outside of a 1 1/2" copper socket sweat pipe elbow with a little bit of lubricant. A couple pieces of Purosil on each side connects it nicely to the rad and aluminum coolant pipe.

With the copper piece painted black, it doesn't stand out. A 3" foot stick of blue 4 ply Purosil is about $25 thru most places that service heavy trucks, or online from Ryder, and the copper piece was $7 at the hardware store.
