I'm looking for a pair of the upper shoulder level chrome hoops and plastic covers. Does anyone know where I can get them from.

At some point in its life, my car has had its seat belts replaced with new red ones, which look okay apart from the fact that they have mounted the inertia reel where the chrome loop should be, rather than down in the rear seat side pocket.

I therefore want to correct it, but I need the upper mounting hardware.

I also believe there should be a small panel in the side pocket to cover the inertia reel. Does anyone have a picture of the panel, preferably out if the car?

    Thanks,
    Paul

The reel is actually open on the early 308s.
    The cover came later.

Mine was made in mid '74, so that's good to hear. Any thoughts on the upper anchor loop?

    Thanks,

Isn't the upper anchor captive on the belt? You can just slip the belt through it, can you? (I've never had them out of the car, just wondering.)

I assume you meant "can't" Brian and I think you're right.

I've been in touch with Suoerformance and the loop is included with their replacement seat belts, although it isn't shown in the picture, so that looks like the solution. Unfortunately, it also means I'll loose my red belts that a previous owner had fitted.

I've bought new seat belts from Superformance and I can't find the mounting point for the inertia reel. There is a bracket with a hole in it down in the side pocket, but it is on the seat side of the pocket rather than the body side, which orientates the reel the wrong way and it doesn't seem to have any threads in it.
As previously mentioned, mine is a '74, so it it possible that it doesn't have the mounting point for the reel and was originally fitted with static belts?
It was retrimmed some years ago, so it may be that the mounting point has simply been covered over, but that wouldn't make much sense.

    Update:
I now suspect that the bracket I mentioned is actually to fasten in the rear seat and that the bolts are missing. :(

    Thanks,
    Paul
