I have the common "upsized" tire combination on my 308:

    225/50-16s on the front
    245/45-16s on the rear

I have Yokohama AVS tires on there now, but I'll be in the market for new tires soon. For the first time in the many years since I moved to these sizes (which I really like in terms of improved handling with more rubber on the road), I'm having trouble finding this combination in a single brand-model. The *ONLY* one I've found so far are the Fuzion ZRi.

Anyone know of any other street performance tire in these sizes? These are the upsized combination that most closely mimics the original overall diameter, so I don't want to go to some other size.

I wonder how long it will be before I'm "forced" to find some 17" wheel substitute or finally upgrade to 18" wheels from a 355 (I don't care for 360 tires on a 308).

Toyo RA1 and R888s are also great alternatives.

Interesting that TireRack doesn't carry Toyo... thanks for the suggestion.

The difference is less than two tenths of an inch overall in the /45 size compared to the fronts... less than 1/10 of an inch on either side of the wheel... you could visually SEE that and the look bothered you? In any case, it's just closer to the original rear tire size than the 245/50's are.
