Hi-I'm in Binghamton with a 72 246 GTS-does anyone know of a good mechanic within driving distance? Thanks in advance.

Francois Sicard in Ridgefield, Ct. Look on the map, it's not that far and while you won't understand more then every third word he says you also won't find better. Yale

A bit of a hike (but no further than Francois) and a real artist with Dino's and other vintage Ferraris (has worked on mine for almost ten years, including the ex-Livanos 365gt we won the NE 1000 with) - as good as it gets.

I wander if you are the same Alex who writes for Keith's mag, the Sports Car Market (I had followed it since it was an Alfa newsletter !). If you are...I do enjoy reading your legal files column in every issue, great jjob and timely topics. It looks like you have a day job, too (wiping brow from own M&A headaches)
    :)

    Luke -

Yeah - thats me - enjoyed writing that column for a long time. Actually, there has been a new guy doing it for about a year, as my day job just did not allow the committment anymore, but I do still write an occaisonal column on Ferrari, and still participate in the Ferrari section of the price guide. A bunch of my old stuff is in the Ferrari and Porsche books as well.....

Anyway - Luke, cool collection - always wanted a GTE, and almost bought #2181, the PF press car, but the seller f-d me and sold to someone else - of course that seller (a east coast dealer) is now on the run from the law, and the business is no more, so i guess karma does exist....

    Well - sorry to ramble,

    Alex
