Hi friends, I heard an urban legend: Have You to rebuild or similar, an engine up to 100.000 kms? Is it true? As much a big maintenance, isn´t it? How much will cost in a official leader? I´m speaking about a 355 manual, thanks in advance
Yes its an urban legend. My car has over 100k miles on it, not Klm. And its been problem free and pulls as strong as it did when i bought it 9 years ago.
My son has a car (Toyota) that has done over 340 km's and it still goes amazingly well. If it aren't broke don't fix it! Pete
My 1984 Audi quattro had an engine rebuild at 184000 miles, when stripped it was on original pistons. I've now got it up to 240000miles and still pulls like a train !!
jejejejeje Ok ok.. I have another car with more than 200.000 kms and no problem, but with ferrari some people told me it about engines..
1994 Honda Accord with 300,000 miles. All original. Only done the clutch, rear main seal, brakes, timing belt and usual maintenance. Original alternator, fuel pump, etc. Only things I have changed out was the starter and the speedometer. LOL. Ya, I guess the speedometers die in these sometimes. Still runs great though.
