    I know this is a stupid question, but just consider the fact that I'm dutch: what is the meaning of "OWNED" or "OWN3D" ? Obviously it is slang for something....please can someone explain?

    "Owned/own3d" generally connotes the idea that one party in the subject of discussion has been placed in a position, or been exploited, or proven factually in correct, or basically has had his position exposed as flawed and deficient or, for lack of a better word, wrong.

    Hmm, actually, it's not overtly simple to explain a colloquialism - anyone want to expand on this further?
