I absolutely love my Kimber. I recently acquired a Roberts Defense Supergrade, hand built in Oshkosh WI. It makes my Kimber feel like a Rock Island haha. I have never felt a better fit 1911 in my life!
LMAO Your version still may pale in comparison to the real story, when Tex resurfaces. I'm thinking there's a cute red-head involved, in addition to the worm at the bottom.
I am sorry, Uro...... I am skipping the May 5 festivities (and sadly, the red head wandered off after her brain tumor surgery).... It's called "work"....!!! ...

Browning Superposed 12 ga Pigeon grade. 30 inch barrels with 5 Briley chokes. I had to search hard to find any defects, this gun presents as nearly new. Figured crotchwood is nicer than usually found on most Pigeons. I found light compression marks (but no scratches) on the buttstock, pictured. Blueing as new. Hand engraving is deep and clean. Signed by Jose Baerten, Browning's master engraver. Rather than me talking about him, Google him and I think you will be impressed. There are several small stains on the inside of the trigger guard, also in finger well for the release lever in the bottom of forestock pictured. Bores are mirror, action very tight with lever way to the right. I have had this gun for 25 years. A friend had it for 10 before that. It has never been shot in those 35 years, perhaps it was before he owned it. It would be hard to find a better Pigeon that is not NIB. Good Guy Price $3500 plus $50 shipping and insured, FFL to FFL. Belgian Browning Superposed 12 ga 30 inch Diana grade. Manufactured 1961. Outstanding wood with stable area of fogginess on right side of buttstock and also a tiny bit along tang, pictured. This fogginess has been present for 35 years and has been absolutely stable. The finish is not flaking, just foggy. Maybe from a cleaning agent before I owned it (I have had it for 25 years, my friend for 10 before that and it is identical to the day he bought it). Otherwise, the wood is outstanding marblecake with only a few tiny whitish spots, pictured. The bores are mirror, the action very tight with the lever way to the right. 4 Briley long thread chokes. Remarkably deep and clean engraving by M. Magus, as far as I know the only female master engraver Browning ever had in Belgium. Complete with Browning case. Good Guy Price $6000 plus $50 shipping and insurance, FFL to FFL. First right of refusal to Hawkeye as he showed early and persisting interest . I will take the Superposed Diana or Pigeon Browning shotgun if Hawkeye ends up only wanting one of them. My preference is the Diana, but I'd be okay with the Pigeon one too. My Dad, who is 84 now, used to own a Superposed Diana Browning years ago but it was stolen in a home break-in crime, so there is sentimental value in letting him shoot a Diana Grade Browning if I owned one. (See how I shamelessly tug on the generous heart strings of Hawkeye to let me have the Diana Browning.) .
Second right Toggie, third John. We will give Hawkeye until tomorrow afternoon. Thanks for your support guys!
I have duplicates of these, so these should go to another F-Chatter. Uro, thanks for thinking of me and offering me first refusal. Note: These are offered at below market prices, somebody will be adding a couple of wonderful heirloom shotguns to their collection! GLWS, I'm sure they will go quickly!!!
How did that happen? Who had first reply in this thread and reiterated again by PM a couple weeks ago waiting for you to list them. Unless you are talking about another thread before starting this one timeline doesn't add up.
That was very generous of Hawkeye to let other fchatters buy these two amazing shotguns. Yes, I have to agree about Rob mentioning the shotguns back in post #2. I'm okay with Rob buying one of the shotguns instead of me. He would likely actually use it for hunting, where my interest is more in having it as part of my collection. They are both wonderful looking guns. I will drop out of the buyers to make room for Rob and Johnaz to choose. And, I agree with Hawkeye that I think Uro has priced both of them very much with a "Good Guys" discount. .
I'm sorry, I didn't mean to get crossways with anyone. I know Harkeye communicated early, and looking back so did Rob. My apologies to Rob, I dropped the ball. It sounds like Toggie is very gentlemanly in his offer. So. If Rob wants one or both, in his court. PM to Rob.
