I think this car has black wiper arms. It certainly has beige cloth seats typical of a non S car. This might explain the lack of the S badge. As previously stated em42's car is the only S car with boot badge that has beige cloth seats and therefore an exception.

To be pedantic the P250 bodied PIIIs uniquely had the forward round repeaters. The P300 bodied PIIIs did not. And that stuff about there being only 21 P111s is complete rubbish! There were more than that.....

Well there were p111 that came after the intitial batch. These maybe hotch potch cars with various p300 parts. Some had multi louvre front bonnet, door panels with beta door handles even the seats as I recall. I know at least two cars came with the metal p300 gate shifter. I can't remember if the fuel filler was on the opposite side either.

I'd say the later cars were put together with whatever parts they had available. These late p111 cars maybe outside of the 21 first batch which build specs were a lot more consistent ? You will be hard press to find two identical late p111 cars. I wonder if the USA/Canadian urraco fiasco had anything to do with this also.

The P250 bodied PIIIs were unique amongst P250s in that they had the stepped dash and roll over bar. These features became standard on all LHD [and later RHD] P300 bodied cars.

The P300 bodied PIIIs were consigned to US. They came with the standard P300 exterior front slats and interior but of course the 2.5L engine. Some P300s with US style side markers were consigned to Canada though these were 3.0L cars.

The P250 bodied PIIIs had 15xxx vins and the P300 bodied PIIIs 20xxx vins.

    Nice video. I believe this P250 bodied P111 is 15950 originally argento/bordeaux.

The Classic Car Show at the NEC Birmingham is held annually and is the largest event of its kind in the UK. Ed and Mike present a show during the event. Given the popularity of the Classic Car Show and of the Wheeler Dealer programme I really hope that this award has created wider awareness of the merits of the Urraco and goes some way to repairing the damage to the car's reputation by the cavalier attitude of Top Gear.

When I was a lot younger, my dad had a set of 'car' encyclopedias called 'Automobiles of the World'. It was published in 1974. I always thought the picture of a green P250 in the Lamborghini section showed the Urraco's great lines. The photo always stuck with me. Even if its just a street scene. I received the encyclopedia set when my parents downsized at retirement. Sadly, most were destroyed in a house flood six years ago. I kept the 'L' book simply because of the Urraco and Countach pics.

When I was looking for my 308 in the 90's, I drove a tan P300. I liked it but my mechanic (who maintained one for another customer) said at my (low) income level I needed to stay with the 308! The other reason I went with the 308 was that I wanted the chrome bumper version of the Urraco. Not many here in the US! With the recent market changes, looks like I have missed my chance. Another shoulda/woulda/coulda!

I think the plate on the car reads "TMY 82M" and its RHD. I wonder where it is now?

If this car has a senape interior there is a reasonable chance it was/is repainted red and is in Australia however this is somewhat speculative. I will try and find out....

The other picture is of course the orange pre-production car with proto wheels and external fuel fillers.

Yes it did. I still have the "Io c'ero" stickers on it!

By the way I would be so pleased if anybody has some other pictures. I have a small video of the event but nothing else.

Do you have any info on my Urraco 15946 before 1999? I am trying to track down history of my car. All I know it was one of Ron Miller's Lamborghini cars in Norman, OK. Not sure how long the car was in his museum/collection. The car was sold to Steve Harris Imports LTD, Salt Lake City (Ferrari Sales) by J. Dell Gordon, Ron's partner at MidArmerica Lamborghini, Ltd., Oklahoma City, OK on 24 June, 1999. Was the original color combo champagne/rosso ? Please advise. Tom/Colorado
