Busy last day of June this past Wednesday. Got an email a couple of weeks ago from a FLU ("Fiat Lancia Unlimted") member that Cosmo UK was looking for a Fiat to use as a prop in a photo shoot. They were doing a "Madmen" theme at a motel on Tonnelle Ave in Jersey City. Since that is a half hour from where I work, I obliged.
I spent an interesting hour at the shoot, and they couldn't have been nicer. Chatted with models and crew, they complimented the car, offered lunch and took my name for credit in the mag.

I've never seen "Madmen", but doesn't it take place about 20 years before your Fiat was built?

I think in the early 60's. I asked about that. They were after "the look," but the shoot was was set in the present.

I used to have that exact same car. The bronze color is nice until the paint starts to fade. Obviously you've taken great care of it.

Yeah, that was the color they used in the brochure that year. You are right, the REAL color WAS a nice bronze; less brown. Mine has been repainted. When they do that, they can't seem to replicate the correct shade. The pics below are the brochure and the real color when bought new (my hood open showing the new color above and original color below). I intend to have some good paint shop color match to original at some point.

Nice little Spider! I've had a couple. This is the last one (sold a couple years ago, now have an MGB):

    Well, I got this email.
Doing my part to share Fiat glamour with the world.

    "Hello!

The October 2010 issue of Cosmopolitan UK Edition has the mad men photo shoot that has your fiat in it!

It starts on page 148 and the car can be seen on page 155.

Attached is a small picture of it, but be sure to get a copy of the magazine as the shoot came out really well!

Thanks again for all you help!

    Tyler Joswick"
