    Hello everyone,

I am planning my yearly F1 trip for 2007 and was thinking of going to Indianapolis for a change of venue (have been going to Montreal for the past 13 years).

Can anyone offer me some advice on where to stay? Is downtown far away from the track? Is it better to drive to the track or do most hotels offer shuttles?

Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

    Tony

Track is about 3 miles from Downtown. If you drive enter at the North gate. 30th St? Fri-Sat. traffic is easy. Race day not bad but cab a from downtown is cheap. Rooms Downtown are best. Lots of activity, restaurants, bars in easy walking distance. Lots of people on the streets. Ferraris on the Circle Friday evening and the F-Chat get together. Classic cars Saturday evening.

I would reccomend it, just get a general admission pass. Then you can go ANYWHERE. Its great, you can be in the stands and in the infield part of the circuit.

I am going this year and have been 2 times before. I think it may be the last year and I wanted to see another race. I am staying downtown and made reservatioins months ago. I stayed some distance away before and I didn't like it at all.
