Not sure; they are probably the same. The only difference is you either pay $$, or someone pays $$ for you...(like a guest of a sponsor)
I was there too and also got some laps. It's a tremendous track and a world class facility. Highly technical with for me at least the most challenging esses I have ever encountered with different radii and some decreasing. Turn 17 ( I think ) has a really interesting approach to the idea of a hairpin. Really enjoyed the day and will always be grateful to Pirelli for the opportunity. As usual Mark was the fastest Challenge car.
Well, he's the official ambassador of the track, so hardly unbiased. But at least in pictures, looks to me that the 'cheerleaders' are right . We'll have to wait for drivers' comments after the race for the final word.

Its a good day here in Gilbert. AZ. FedEx dropped off our tickets at little after 10 am. Each day has its own ticket. In the packet info sheets on parking, shuttle, things you can bring inside the gates.etc. Very self explanatory and looks well planned out. The only thing not included was the directions to Big Texs BQ on Friday night. That may arrive later we hope. Looking good, Billy Ray! Feeling good, Louis! Image Unavailable, Please Login
Just one more little note on the race. I varified my rental car today that I reserved a month or so ago, price still good. But I first checked on what the prices would be today if I wanted a car this late in the game. The rental car rate had gone up a little over $250 for the weekend for the same car. Twice what we are paying. Good luck getting a car if you do not have one already.
D'Ambrosio in a Renault. Sorry if this is a repost... http://en.espnf1.com/usa/motorsport/story/92506.html
Well, all the fanboys can now be thumping their chest, but the reality is, that for some time it looked very bleak for the Austin GP. Once Tavo was gone and the new guys took over, things started to move. Somehow I have a feeling it is similar with NY: Once whoever didn't bother to bribe the Sopranos is floating down the Hudson river, things will change.
Sorry, didn't mean to come off as chest thumping. I just noticed that early post and thought I'd give you an excuse to say "see, I knew it was gonna happen from the start!"
Looks like we'll be neighbors for the weekend! Please forward explicit directions on how to execute the PERFECT F-Chat secret handshake
My comment wasn't directed at you but those who should be just happy. Any of these deals are always on a knife's edge
All due respect, some of the "fanboys" that you are condescendingly referring to actually were providing perspective based on facts, not speculation!
I will need to clear that with the secret committee...problem that it's so secret that no one knows about it expect, of course, BigTex (he is omniscient)
