we're about 2 hours away now, for the race that both Ferraris need to get a big results. enjoy yourselves, whoever's there, and drive safely
i just came back from Fantastic 4. gotta say that Jessica Alba doesn't look that fantastic in that movie
Hey Tony wassup got some news : Fernando Alonso says he will try to overtake fellow McLaren driver and championship Lewis Hamilton at Indianapolis' tricky first corner on Sunday. The Spaniard tried a similar move on the first lap in Montreal one week ago, after also qualifying behind his rookie team-mate, but ran wide and fell down the order. Alonso hit the gravel in Barcelona last month too, when attempting to pass Felipe Massa at turn one. He told Spanish reporters at Indianapolis: "I am going to try it; especially as the track is so wide." Alonso denied that his team boss Ron Dennis will instruct him to play it safe, even though one year ago at Indianapolis both McLarens - then driven by Kimi Raikkonen and Juan Pablo Montoya - crashed out after a clash. "No, we have the freedom to fight," Alonso insisted, adding that his starting fuel load is very similar to pole sitter Hamilton's. Alonso also explained that he opted to sweep the unused inside part of the US GP grid on Saturday after realising that his last qualifying lap would not be quick enough to beat Hamilton. there's gonne be fireworks at the start
Alonso is a big talker. He's trying to play the psyche game with Hamilton, who will win that game by a landslide because Hamilton has proven to be unshakeable and because it's clear Alonso is the shaken one when he has to try to play these headgames. Oh, and Ron is gonna lay the smack down on young Ferdie REAL quick. No way does he want 2 Macs out at T1, although I would love LOVE LOVE to see it happen to watch the resultant $h!tstorm that befalls Alonso
Hamilton is in a great position. If he crashes, well he is a rookie, if he loses to Alonso, well FA is the two time world champ. So the pressure is really on Alonso. Hey Remy, what does this mean? "Alonso also explained that he opted to sweep the unused inside part of the US GP grid on Saturday after realising that his last qualifying lap would not be quick enough to beat Hamilton. "
3am start here atleast it is live for a change(and ofcourse canada last week). I'm hoping Alonso pulls another silly move 1st corner but this time takes Lewis out, that would be great! Hope Vettel does well and keeps out of trouble 1st corner. Webber finishing would be nice as well. Most important tho is Ferrari somehow mixing it up with Mclaren they really need to score a win today...
Maybe the young superstar will cause enough havoc on the team that Alonso will want out. Alonso can always claim that the British team members are favoring Lewis.
It'd be nice for the points, but 2005 wasn't much of a win, without the competition. Now to have the Ferraris beat the McLarens on track -- *that* would be great. But I think there's some work between here and there. I just got back from picking up snacks for the race -- it was nice weather, so I took the Ferrari. Let's see if the Ferrari team can bring home the bacon, too. (You won't believe this, but the SUV I parked next to at the store actually had mud on the tyres!)
30 minutes until the race starts; I can't wait to see Alonso throw it off the track at turn one. Unfortunately, I think the only way the red cars could get a win is if Fred takes himself and Lewis out of the race, but I'm remaining optimistic Massa can put in a good race. Mark
watching the star sports pre race show here too.. they showed a video of hamilton hanging out with felipe massa after the qualy. alonso just walked away.. interesting stuff.. hehe
HA! Maybe Kimi drives better when his psychological gyroscopes are a lightly lubed with some Finlandia LOL!
Yes that was very interesting. I just noticed that even the commercials are better on Star Sports when compared to SpeedTv/FOX. It looks like the car sponsors also pay for the ads. The Star Spangaled Banner has been sung, The blessing has been given, time to zip up the racing suits!
Another nice thing is that Star re-broadcasts the race a bunch of times in the days after the races. So it's pretty easy to catch it if you miss the live run. Not the measly 1 time Speed does.
I watched the speed replay this week and it was the same crap that FOX had! Saftey car did its run through. Hot and Humid, thunder clouds are forming
It's just about to start. Good morning/afternoon everyone should be a fun race and I hope to see some crazy moves from the McLarens in T1.
