What is the difference between US and Euro spec? I keep seeing posts about the two and wondered what the differences were!

Most 360/430 have "minor" changes including the emissions systems in required in the US.

    Other diffs:

Different A pillar molding on the inside
    Different turn signals

I am sure there are quite a few other differences. For a whole list, you could go thru the Fed Govt's exemptions pages. Search for them.

The list of all different parts is available online. I don't have my notes here so I can't give you a URL but start with the DOT.

As I recall from Ferrari's filings on 2001 360 Spider, there are 300 some odd parts difference. Most of those are very minor like different headlights, the turn signals, and the speedo is metric (has to be changed).

There are a number of emissions differences like the cats are different. The emissions stuff has to be changed to get documents so once they are in the US these differences go away.

On the down side, from what I can tell the variators have not been replaced on some euros. You have to do your due dilligence or be willing to take the additional cost.

Most states have special rules about registering gray market cars. Who did the conversion is important. What level of testing they did has an impact on your hastle factor for getting your car registered. If the conversion was done by a reputable shop, this is a fairly minor issue.

In the end, euro's are slightly higher horsepower and ~200 pounds lighter. Otherwise, they are the same.

200 lbs lighter?!? **** that would make the car MORE valueable to me.. Can anyone else confirm why this is the case?

I have owned two euro 360's and they are definitely quicker than the U.S. car. I have to admit to some initial nervousness about having one of these cars, but have had no problems of any kind. I can get them worked on by any authorized Ferrari dealer just like the U.S. car, and the additional benefit of 30K plus savings. People who own the euro cars take just as much fanatical care of their cars as the U.S. ones. As the above post has indicated, there many little changes. Nothing major.
