US ownership history wanted for 512 BBi #43801

    The 1982 512 BBi s/n 43801 (VIN ZFFJA09B000043801) was sold new in Germany in December of 1982 and exported immediately to the USA. The first US title was issued on January 31, 1983 by the New York Motor Vehicle Department.

    I know that on March 26, 1989 another New York title was issued.

    The car was serviced twice by Dick Fritz‘ Amerispec Corp. of Danbury, CT on December 6, 1984 and October 15, 1987.

    That‘s unfortunately all I know about #43801‘s US history so far.

    The car returned to Germany in 1989 and has been with its last owner from 1992 through last week. Now it‘s for sale.

    I would love to find out more about #43801‘s ownership history while in the USA. Has anyone ever come across this particular 512 BBi?
